Relegation beckons. 14:05 - Jan 14 with 7099 views | Cyrilblake | This is my first ever post. What do we think? Once we get relegated it's the beginning of the end. 2011 was my greatest season with talk and real talk of a new stadium. But that was just B.S. it took them 10 years to get a new training ground. And that was funded by bonds that made Amit Bhatia plenty of money. Once Ferdinand left i knew the well was empty. It won't be long before we are administration, potless and docked points. I'm in the pocket watch for anyone who wants to come and pick my bottom lip up.

So I haven’t accepted that it’s an inevitability yet, that will come if we fail to beat Huddersfield, who are the only team that I think we stand a realistic chance of finishing above. Watching it there on Sunday was so frustrating because the three points puts Watford only one away from the playoffs yet we looked the better team on the day and really should have won it. The unfortunate thing is that as Clive has alluded to in his previews, we somehow always manage to find a way to lose, even like on Sunday when we didn’t deserve to.

Agreed we left the game on Sunday feeling massively disappointed but at the same time knowing that we had put in a performance worthy of getting at the minimum a point if not all three, the difference between that performance and the one against Blackburn was night and day, as some people have already said if Marti had been in charge in August we would probably be mid table. We have two cup finals coming up, it's all about getting results in those games, the pressure is now massive and I fear that we will crumble but it's football and there's still a chance, it's January were not down yet, the effort and commitment was there against Watford it needs to be replicated against Millwall as they wont back down that's for sure. In case the OP is confused about the training ground finance Rubén has paid already about £20 million plus for the state of the art complex, then the club asked for the supporters to raise another 6 or 7 million via the Bond Scheme. The Bond Scheme pays out a rate of interest per annum to all bondholders which was fixed at a favourable rate before the current interest rate rises or it would have been even higher. The next bit I'm not 100% sure but I assume the money is invested on the markets and generates the interest which is paid to the bondholders. When the Scheme matures the bondholders get their interest and Capital returned, now again somebody has to be responsible for ensuring all the Capital is returned and that's down to the owners again, mainly Rubén obviously. As for Amit making money out of the scheme i find that hard to believe because it's cost the owners 10s of millions to construct, then again when Mick Beale first arrived I thought he was ok.... Welcome to the OP we are still awaiting the cheese decision. [Post edited 16 Jan 9:52]

I really want to be optimistic and was when Marti initially came in. But the problem with our current squad is that they keep letting you down. Cardiff at home was a perfect game to make a statement - win comfortably and get some confidence going for the rest of the month. Then they concede two goals like that and it drains you of any hope. I can just see Millwall rocking up, being physical and our players bottling it yet again. Colback will probably get sent off too. It's a very winnable game and they're no great shakes but...

Pretty stark that. And some people think we're going to turn that form on its head with nineteen games to go?

The Championship is as much about physicality as skill/talent (maybe even more so). We'll need to earn the right to play against Millwall but I really don't think these players have it in them.
