Agree with most of that team. Definitely the defence and keeper. What a mess we made regarding the keeper. How we could end up up with a 21 and 41 year old keeper in the Premier league pretty much sums up the muddled thinking.

I'd keep S.Armstrong in, he's been out a lot injured and is not quite on the pace, but he's one of our most intelligent players and he needs game time.
Orsic by all accounts is not match fit? Well let's play him on Wednesday and get him some match practice too.

Successful teams tend to have a settled team, mostly made up of older players. The best team in Europe, Real Madrid, have Modric, 37, Benzema, 35, Kroos, 33, Nacho, 33, Hazard, 32, Carvajal, 31, Vazquez, 31, Alaba, 30 and Courtois, 30.
We are the exact opposite: we have random individuals who are mostly youngsters a long way off reaching their best, and chop and change our team every week. Our players are nearly all sold before they reach their best years. Our best years were the late 70s/early 80s and 2012-16, when we built teams with older players in them, who were used to playing together. |  |

To be fair Maitland-Niles was excellent against Chelsea but I think most of us do not want to see Bednarek, Elynnoussi, Walcott, Diallo around and yet they consistently get chosen even though we have better options. Very strange. I would definitely give Bazunu a break though. Also some people don’t want Orsic. This is a full international Croatian we’re talking about here who was excellent in the World Cup . Orsic should start against Grimsby, if he doesn't it'll be obvious that there's an issue there.
I think AMN has knuckled down & is starting to look a decent player.
I'd like to see him playing in midfield alongside Lavia & JWP.
AMN is good on the ball & a bit more creative than some we have.
His problem has been attitude rather than ability, but it looks like he's accepted where he is & what he needs to do & he's is def better than Elynoussi. | | | |
