I like the big glass window overlooking the pitches but thought the rest of it looked very basic. Boxy with small windows. Be interesting to see how they are either cladding the outside or rendering it.? Looks a decent size. Well done to the club getting it this far. Credit where credit is due.

The outside cladding looked nice enough on the plans.
I can imagine there being nothing but glass in the original plans and Hoos looking at the drawings going "GLASS!!! With all these balls around??? Am I the only one with kids around here???"
"The opposite of love, after all, is not hate, but indifference."
The Building Services looked pretty good as well. Nice to see the open ends of the ductwork bagged off! I was amazed at how big/how many desks the First team office was/had!

That's why we only started to install the glass once Barbet had gone
I'm over the moon to see the club making genuine progress on the infrastructure side of things
Now we need to kick start the plan for getting more non-matchday revenue from the stadium, whether that means rebuilding Loftus Road or moving elsewhere.
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Haha.. I didn't think about the practalities of footballs flying about. They better not put a flat roof on it either unless they install a ladder for Dieng to fetch all the balls.

Was this filmed this year? Because a couple of minutes in he says 'it should be ready the summer of next year'... so is that 2024? Or this year?
Apart from that, Blumenthal marvellous.
Yes, I noticed that too, Hud. The plan has always been for the training ground to be completed in time for the start of the 2023/24 season. So either it was filmed late last year, he meant season not year or he'd been on the lash the night before.

looks really good ... love the idea of seating on the upper balcony
You know you can’t criticise the owners and questioning their commitment. I understand this won’t be part of FFP, which is obviously great. Those words we hear “ Long Term Project” being evidenced. Unconnected fact is I played for BA there for a few years, always were the best pitches in the London Commercial League. Watneys and Guinness gave away the best freebies though.

'Undersoil heating' got dropped into conversation there which is great, and expensive. Was down there in August and the pitches were like carpets, very impressive they clearly didn't skimp on those.

Always tried to get pre-season fixtures at those grounds plus Barclays at Hanger Lane! Pitches like carpets compared to Vale Farm!!
