accept the most awful, dire football BUT win 30 games and go up?
we have played possession football, nice football for a few seasons and been midtable with the odd flirt with p/off spots.
we are not aggressive, nasty in fact probably too easily bullied and a soft touch at times , we have no enforcer player .
we like our play ball to feet and entertain but is it getting us anywhere?

Like the 2013/14 season then?!

In a word, yes. However, we’d then need to be sure not to fk it up like last time. Either take a reasonable approach to at least stay up for one season or don’t spend at all and just bank the dosh, come down and use the money to sort out background facilities, debts etc.

Premier League even if that means tactically defensive football to get there and stay there.

It's a no from me. Fine for some games, but not if it's our default.

When I think back on games / players I enjoyed most, they are when we were playing great football - Tarrabt, Wegerle, Chair and Willock, those early 90s years.

I specifically remember not really enjoying our season under Redknapp ,but maybe I was tainted by my dislike of him.

For me, when I go, which is much less than I used to, I want to see things out of the ordinary, things that get you off your seat, together with players developing and getting better. That for me is what we are / should be - play good football, bring in youth / lower league players we've never heard of.

We've all watched some dire football over the years - the Steward Houston period is a period I don't want to see again.

I'm probably in a minority though!

Poll: Will we stay up?
