I shat myself having previously been arrested at Forest for stealing a British Rail toilet roll. Had to go to Nottingham court with my Dad. £25 fine with a conditional discharge. Told them haven’t been to a game since and was sorry. Wolves fan and Dad, same crime, went in somewhat bullish and got fined £50. Ridiculous when you think about it, the transport police bloke, courts time and the judge playing God. Football fans back then were the enemy of the state. Luckily at WHL only thrown out.
Have also been watching the the show Sherwood and reminded me of those times. I used to run coaches to games before the LSA started from Rayners lane station. Around that time the govt had banned coaches traveling to stop miners going to visit various picket lines. They stopped us on the M1 all full guns blazing then very sheepishly left.

Don Givens to me doesn't get rated enough when our great strikers are mentioned. In his six seasons here he notched 100 goals in League + Cups (76 + 24). His partnership with Stan also needs to be talked about more as well. In the six seasons DG was here they shared 192 goals between them
