Drakeford running of the NHS in WALES has nothing to do with empire what a silly thing to say. Even after 25 years of huge subsidies from the UK taxpayers under the Barnett formula it is still a shambles. Drakeford continues to blame the UK government for the mess asks for yet more money yet refuses to use his power to increase income tax in Wales to raise extra money. He is of course happy to impose extra tax on tourists as well as trying to tax holiday businesses with double council tax.

My grandfather was a proud Welshman but he served in the British army and was also British and proud to be that too.

Today and last Friday returning from Hereford, I've driven the M4 passing the notorious Newport area and you will be blinking lucky to get any where near 40mph. 10mph would have been speeding. This is about 3.30pmish. Absolutely crawling!

Drakeford says it is for safety reasons. Apparently a brand new dual carriageway built to the highest standards must have 50mph limit as motorist would not be used to the road. This means all vehicles travelling along the previous 60 mph dual carriageway now have to waste energy by braking to 50 mph and have to stand on breaks on the long downhill section.
Funnily enough on the old 3 lane single carriageway it replaced you could do 60 mph .
I think the real reason is Drakeford wants to collect speeding fines from motorist. | |
