When you look who we had on the bench 3 years ago, all kids who are now playing in the lower leagues and now we have the likes of Djenepo it shows that we have moved on a bit in terms of the size and quality of our squad.

Oh I don't know...he's full of running and enthusiasm and he has a fantastic attitude. I remain to be convinced of his footballing ability but maybe he deserves a new contract for his positivity.

Interesting one this.
Djenepo and Redmond are very similar in terms of end product.
Very tidy on the ball. Djenepo’s step overs seem to have won over the FIFA Video Game crew.
Ultimately though Djenepo needs to step up to the plate.
He’s done nothing since the goals v Sheff Utd & Brighton to show he’s a Premier League player.
Signing a new contract means at least we won’t lose him in the summer for fûck all.
See if he can produce this season or he’ll be off to pastures new. French League 1, Italian Serie A.
I’d like to see him winning penalties as an attacker not the opposite in our penalty area.

I guess Djenepo might do well in the Championship as well but I don't see a huge step up from Obafemi to Djenepo in terms of overall ability. |  |

Obafemi has scored 13 goals in 39 appearances for Swansea.
Djenepo has scored 3 in 63 for us.
