Question; Could anyone explain why, currently, Table B should have Russia in 2nd place above Finland in 3rd when Russia has an inferior goal difference?

It really is getting stupid now.They just flashed up the group D table and Croatia are above the Czech Republic who have a Q for qualified against their name.
And do Croatia qualify as one of the best 3rd place teams even though they finished 2nd? [Post edited 22 Jun 2021 21:52]

The Czech Republic had a Q against them as they would qualify no matter what the result was last night.
In theory, Croatia hadn't qualified at that stage as Scotland could have come back to draw or win. Remember that it was just a guide of where it stands at the moment & so you should wait until the games are finished. |  | | |

Absolutely right Terry, but it did look a bit silly.
However it takes away some drama, even the result last night from England's perspective didnt feel much danger for anyone (well England and Czechs anyway) |  | | |
