I’m surprised they have never remade this film for the modern era. I’ve never seen any of the Star Wars films either.

They have several times, the Muppets even did a version of it

I got my hands on some old official QPR yearbooks yesterday. This photo is from the 1948/49 one. I immediately thought of The Shining.

The Shining is one of the greatest films event made. Certainly one of the greatest in colour. Brian treat yourself.

I haven't watched it. That's how scared I am!

My kids (23 & 28) watched it for the first time a couple of weeks ago having just read the book, they hated it and didn’t find it scary at all.
I made my daughter watch Carrie recently, it terrified me when I watched it when it first came out, she thought it “lame” and laughed most of the way through it!
