Cricket World Cup thread. 10:09 - May 21 with 57795 views | Snipper | Jofra Archer has been named in the squad, and rightly so. He offers genuine pace and he’s still relatively unknown to the other teams. I don’t agree with the omission of David Willey though. I wouldn’t have had Liam Dawson. But hey ho. This is the first round robin CWC since Australia/New Zealand in 1992. For me, that was the best CWC. Australia were big favourites, but lost their first four games. England are big favourites for this one. Let’s hope we get off to a better start. Come on England ðŸ´ó §ó ¢ó ¥ó ®ó §ó ¿.

Read it on the BBC live report a while back cant find it now, he'll get fined though I should imagine, a ban would be horrendous on what has been a great day for English cricket.

I was in Aussie for the Ashes, played club cricket against Joe Root's dad and know a few players around the test team. The level of abuse labelled at Alli would have destroyed Rashid. I'm glad he didn't face it as Alli has gone backwards since. Don't believe the Aussie PR machine, they're a nasty bunch of xxxx'ers who crossed every line out there. Bring on the Ashes, I'll be in the Hollies stand getting some payback from two years ago.

I make you right mate.I only went to the last 3 ashes tests in 17/18 and the level of abuse dished out was horrible. The barmy army songs were basically meant to be humorous, but with the Aussies it was pure bile and spiteful. At least for the first couple of days when they turned up.Ive got all 5 days at the Oval in September and I really hope to be able to rub their noses in an ashes series defeat.

Roy 's behaviour was completely out of line, particularly when the game was more or less won...and he's a tw*t for that. Match fine beckons. But Australia have spent the past 40 years being past masters of bitching and snaking and whining and appealing. Reap what you sew you fckrs. Reap. What. You. Sew.

Yeah he shouldn't have shown dissent, but the irony of taylot and healy getting upset considering what their team they did last year.... they were both saying he should be banned for the final... He’s been fined 30% of his fee and been given some demerit points, he can play Sunday ðŸ‘🼠

I will be joining you. Taking my 70 year old mum to her first ashes game in Brum. She’s got into cricket in the last few years and spent two years living in oz before I was born. She hates them, they are massive cnts when it comes to sport.
