Am I missing the point here. Firstly I don't subscribe to the carousel appointment philosophy but am reading the emergence of a more time brigade. Honestly examine the evidence. I'll side step the issue of infrastructure and just focus on performances they are not good enough for reasons that have been spoken about at length on this board and others. I am not sure that Warnock is the answer but it would be good to see a team play with some purpose belief and cohesion. |

The squad is unbalanced and littered with limited players, especially in key areas of full back and CM
However what's alarming is the lack of spirit or urgency and that is down to the string puller
Good managers get that extra 20% from bang average performers
Every appointment and transfer is a risk but ours this last 4 years have been totally uncalculated and disastrous

I dont know he had his moments, should never have been appointed. The recent 4-3 was entertaining at least. Stuffing plastic MKDons was a high too, kept thinking of Winkleman saying 'you can even play in Hoops' and west London rioting. Never on a par as 2-0 down to Liverpool with 15 mins to play...those Roy of he Rovers moments are few and far between, and would never happen under Ramsey.
Cant help feeling TF lost his Twitter password for several weeks, and then found it, when he could have picked up the phone and spoken to Ramsey. Share price is falling, am skint, objectives are changing, you need to raise your game for promotion. Why the fck did TF communicate through Twitsville? Have lost so much respsect for him as a Chairman. Has made a fool of himself re-at Warnock after sacking him.

I agree. Ramsey was on a hiding to nothing. Part of me thinks he would have coped better had Charlie, Matty and Leroy all left.
For me the breaking points were
getting Gladwin fit and then not deploying him on the left to see what he could do. Then loaning him out.
playing Luongo as a forward running midfielder (no.10???) when we brought him to hold the midfield.
insisting on playing Chery in the stands out left when he is clearly best suited directly behind a striker
getting in Polter and bleeding the belief out of him
doing more or less the same to Smthie
What he got right
he did get Matty playing well for a while
Hall, bringing him through and at least then giving him the place
putting JET in as a striker
bringing back Hill
But the 'football' was rank. I have ranted at Redknapp, Hughes etc but they did at least play a style of football I recognised. Not very good but 'a style'. Hughes tried to create an instant revolution and failed miserably, Redknapp was past it. I felt Ramsey should have walked after fulham but credit to him he battled on. But we were playing anti-football. Nothing I recognised as a team.
I like Fernandes as a person. Think he is one of the nicer hard nosed b*stards in business. But, he probably never should have sacked Warnock the first time and he has paid for it ever since. Fortunately he kept on very good terms with Warnock so that makes tonights events easier for the board. I am sure warnock ain't too thrilled to be honest. He was brought in by Ramsey so he perhaps feels a bit embarrassed. He doesn't want to manage anymore. He struggled at Palace and said that's it. So I don't think he will stay too long unless he really gets the bug again and we start winning again.
But we have to play football that entertains the fans and we haven't done that since GiGi and the promotion season under Warnock. I don't mind staying in this league at all but I do want to go and watch a team that plays as a team, with players in the right positions and a style and a shape that I recognise - and that is consistent. it's an average squad imo, it can be turned into a good team but I don't think we're anywhere near as good as Burnley, Derby or Hull. |  | | |
