tomorrow can't come quick enough on 14:43 - Jan 17 by 1mark1 | Really hoping that Bradford win the cup replay and that there is bad weather and a lower gate as a result. |
What sort of crowd do you think there will be at the replay? Admittedly, they were playing non-league sides, but Bradford got around 3000 for their replay against Aldershot and around 6000 against Chesham. Their league attendances are heavily skewed by very cheap season tickets.

Hardly an attractive fixture, to entice extra people, so I will go for 6500. Fifteen quid reasonable price to get in.

Very very rough rule of thumb. assuming most of the plying staff are on the highest rate of tax (40%) plus NI (10%) then liability =50%. most players possibly will be, office staff probably not. so if you worked on the an average of 40% then it equates out to an annual wage bill of pushing £4 million. I personally don't see it being that high, BUT

As seen through the eyes of a Bury fan: "£156k per month PAYE would need an annual wage bill of approx £8,000,000. £156k for 1 quarters VAT would need annual Turnover in excess of £5,000,000 We know it isn't Corporation Tax, no profits. Sounds to me like an accumulation of VAT and PAYE but certainly more than 1 payment of each" It's still a frightening scenario, whichever way you view it.

A very sensible post on the Bury forum I've stayed quite on the financial debate so far, mainly due to my lack of knowledge on how corporate businesses and football clubs are run, but this is getting seriously worrying now. Mr Day & Mr Thomas have to answer some serious questions which I would hope are going to be put to them by FB. Bury FC has been part of my life since I was 10 years old, over thirty years now, and it's now also a part of my sons life. Despite the frustrations on the pitch over the years, I don't want that to change. If the board are genuinely putting the long term stability of the club at risk, please come out and tell us, so that we as supporters can at least prepare for the worst. No more deceit, no more cloak and dagger, let's work together to try to solve what's going on. FB have to be at the forefront of this, and I'm sure they will be. One thing I don't understand is, what are Day & Co set to gain out of running the club like this? Taking us millions into debt won't do much for their future business aspirations, the ground isn't the sellable asset most thought it was. So what are they set to gain? Come on Stewie, it really is time for answers now. The fans will be around a lot longer than you will, we are the lifeblood of the club, always have been, always will be. It's time to realise it shouldn't be 'us and them' anymore.

Don't forget the employers N.I. contributions. On earnings of £ 40040/annum i.e. £ 770/week the liability is 13.8%
tomorrow can't come quick enough on 11:54 - Jan 18 with 5774 views | Buryyyy | Here's an idea Rochdale fans, why not focus on your own club instead of obsessing over ours. Last two home games postponed for you lot and on crowds of 2,200 cash flow will be an issue, Hendersons wages won't come cheap. And before anyone says "obsessed yet posting on a Rochdale messageboard", it's pretty much just Bury's other messageboard! I bet you get more Bury fans reading this site than Rochdale!
tomorrow can't come quick enough on 12:20 - Jan 18 with 5710 views | D_BFC | Postponements aren't good for any club at this level but you can bet Rochdale have budgeted for this scenario. We're doing our best to point out to you Blind B**tards, what you consistently fail to see, or which you choose to blithely ignore. You are heading for oblivion. Wake up, ask the questions you should be asking and don't be put off by bulls**t and bullying responses. Our finances aren't your concern. They are fine, thanks. You should be worried about your own.
