This happened last season. They check some tickets and not others and it seems to be that when the covered terrace is full, it's full.
In this day and age, it's a surprise they can get away with two sections within one end that are impossible to accurately control - we went onto the covered terrace without anyone looking at our tickets and same again at half time when people were going for food/toilet. At no stage can they be sure how many are in each part. |  |

They did have stewards at the entrance to the covered bit, but it really was hit and miss with the checking. | |

It's very naughty how they do this. I ended up stood on the pavement at the side last year and it was crap, I can't see how it's the same price to stand there like a total loser, or in a covered terrace where you're elevated above ground level and therefore have a better view (and much better atmosphere). I tried to get into the stand but they had nightclub style bouncers asking everyone for tickets. Condolences to those who end up stood at the side, it really is poor. |  |
