Saints are today being linked with two signings from France, one a former player for Nice last season under Claude Puel.
The first rumour concerns Lille winger Sofiane Boufal, a name Saints were linked with earlier in the summer and who was also being chased by Spurs, now it seems that the North London Giants are turning their attentions elsewhere and that could leave the way open for Saints to nip in, although Boufal hasnt played since the end of last season after picking up an injury.
The second potential signing could have more substance to it in that it is Ivory Coast International Jean Michael Seri, who played for Puel last season at Nice after the now Saints boss signed him from Pacos de Ferreira in Portugal.
Although only 5ft 5 inches tall Seri proves a hit in the Nice side due to his ablity to create chances and pass the ball, not to mention a turn of pace, although he is small he is tough with it and reports from France suggest he would not struggle with the physical aspects of our game.
The same sources suggest that Seri could be available for around £5 million pounds and that if Saints don't snap him up now and he repeats his form from last season then his price will esculate.
