HollowayRanger added 17:59 - Feb 13 Geoff78 added 19:24 - Feb 13 Shocking first half. Defence completely unable to deal with mobile forwards making intelligent runs. So disappointing after defence are least had seemed more solid in recent weeks. But they were given no protection by Tozser and Luongo who were both extremely poor. Second half a bit better. At least JFH made bold substitutions although probably would have done better to shore up midfield with Henry. Really missed Faurlin - our only midfielder who can tackle and pass with a modicum of skill. Smithies did pretty well. NW10Hoop added 20:12 - Feb 13 How on earth is Smithies the (currently) highest rated QPR player? Although he can't solely be blamed for letting in the goals his distribution was Green-esque at best Bettwsresident added 23:46 - Feb 13 Rubbish first half, looked like exhibition match at times. What Davis was doing parked on the right touchline was beyond me. Saying that we did have the tow best chances as Pelle and Long managed to hit the ball straight at the keeper. Long's was a bad miss. 2nd half better, waiting to see on MOTD why goal was disallowed (fitting it is last game!) Introduction of Cedric changed it. Davis went into midfield and he provided great cross, and Long finished really well. Should have had a late 2nd when Austin shot instead of crossing to a wide open Long. Defence was solid, never looked like conceding and VVD was immense again. Romeu had a great 2nd half, JWP looked flakey. Yosh should have conceded a pen.. he was only on for 10mins! Swansea only really looked dangerous when Gomis came on. We are on one hell of a run, long may it continue. The away fans were great. Bettwsresident added 23:57 - Feb 13 just seen it...it should have been 2-0 and Pelle would have had a precious goal....Ref had a bad game MickB added 08:54 - Feb 14 At least Toszer must be able to see the spectators point of view. He was one. I have seen teddy bears with more fight. And where was Ned when the captain needed the team needed rallying? As a player he is (usually) worth his salt, but as a Captain? This lot are too quiet. snanker added 09:53 - Feb 14 Gutting "effort'' all to play for (given the Cottage thumping) and after recent performances seeing some light at the end of the tunnel we revert to the oncoming locomotive. Q.P.R. to a tee. A step forward and a big B. Fawlty stride backwards. No AF, no imagination ? No stomach, little fight and what leadership did we witness ? Fulham should have won by more to be honest. Bottom line not good enough......................... Royboy48 added 15:35 - Feb 14 Reasons for the debacle are crystal clear No on-field leadership. Fulham understood how important is the local derby was to their fans In no mood, nor any need, to dissect this corpse further TimSaint added 11:17 - Feb 15 Bettws - and you would have also seen that it was JWP's cross for the goal, not Davis - who played the cross-field ball to Cedric. Yoshi penalty incident was nothing. Firstly Gomis was fouling Fonte before it got to Yoshi. Secondly they Swans player jumped into Yoshi, desperately looking for something. Not even close to a pen. Thankfully we had a ref in Moss, that was up with play and made the correct call. God only knows what would have happened if Clatenberg was in charge !! Rightly last on MOTD, but who cares. There wasn't a great deal to show from the game, but we won it and can keep on carrying on, under the radar and just see whathappens over the last 12 games. A great weekend in South Wales, yet again :o) Bettwsresident added 11:57 - Feb 15 Timsaint, you're spot on, realised I was wrong when I saw it on MOTD. In the heat of a goal memories blur! The images I have 'filed' are Cedric sprinting to get the ball from Davis and the ball squirming under Fabianski. It was a great weekend in South Wales! The snow capped black mountains were stunning (if a bit brisk at the top!)
