Terrible news, this guy could have had us 2-0 down in the first 30 mins on Saturday. Not sure what Blackpool see in him. |

Thought Hilly did it to stop the away team's management from chirping in the liner's ear? Would think Jim has done it for the same reason. |

| Forum Thread | Ball hits ref at 13:12 18 Sep 2023
In the second half (I think), we played a ball across the midfield and it struck the ref. My understanding was that in those circumstances, play should be stopped and the ball return the to the team that played the ball. Mr Jackson gave the drop ball to Bromley from my recollections. Does anyone know the rule in this case? Cheers, TN |

Slightly off topic, but my fear would be that when we drop, Mullarkey will depart. Too good for us, too good for the National League. And we're a stepping stone for Lloyd. TN |

Clutching at straws I know, but a few words of advice for our non-seeing manager. It’s time to remove the three stooges from our spine, out goes Landell (no passion, no bite, no captain), Didgeridoo (graceless, clumsiness, ineptness) and Jimmy K (slow feet, slow brain, slow boat to China as far as I’m concerned). In our midfield put Mullarkey central, he’s a battler, not a bottler, has more control than the current midfield and will drive at the opposition. Assume Brierley can join him there after seeing him last night (plenty of intense half-time warm-up — why?) . Dodgson on one side of them, Odoh on the other. Three at the back, three at the front… Taylor (remind me again why you dropped our best player from the Northants game for the Gills game?), Rhys and Seriki. Quiggs, Danny Lloyd and Hendo up front. And perhaps when you’ve thought about that and decided it’s the way to go, you might consider leaving the same players in those positions for more than 90 mins? Something tells me we’ve got more potential to pick up points if you stop fooking about the side. TN |
| Forum Reply | This fantastic Board of Directors at 10:49 30 Aug 2022
I would also agree with the comments made, the board has done a fantastic job given the hand they were dealt. On a related point, I'm a season ticket holder that's kept up to speed with the development, but don't quite get the finer details of the shenanigans. Can someone explain: — how much has the legal fund raised? — what has it been spent on? — how much, if any, is there left to raise? I understand the directors have again dipped into their own pockets to purchase the latest set of shares. Will the bucket shaking be extended to repay them? TN |

A small price to pay for the insightful observations and sparkling wit of your fellow main stand Daley's? |

Great to see a bit of positive early transfer activity, rather than leaving it late and scooping up the leftovers. TN |

From my seat in the main stand it looked like: Yes — a la Frank Lampard v Germany Yes — about two yards x two LO players No —Â a meal made out of not a right lot Did anyone have a better view? TN |

It's been a darn site better than the rubbish we've seen at COA recently. |
| Forum Reply | Deadline Day Business. at 13:07 2 Feb 2021
Agree TomRAFC, one of my fav players too. We always looked more solid when he sat in front of the back four, but his height was a worry when he dropped deeper. We lack a leader at the back someone who can read the game, especially when O'Connell is injured. That tends to come with experience and not from a young utility player. Great signings, but it doesn't help plug the leaky bucket. TN |
| Forum Reply | BBM at 19:49 16 Jan 2021
I'd ship BBM out tomorrow morning, no passion, clueless with tactics meaning a team that's rudderless and frustrating. But let's be honest, will the board do it? I seriously doubt it. Cash is king at the moment, BBM is probably on a pretty low wage (compared to others in the league) and whether we're in L1 or L2 next year is irrelevant at the mo. There's a good chance next season it'll be limited numbers in the COA, so no decent paydays from opposing teams. Income into Dale will be very similar. Frustratingly, there's little need to look past BBM. TN |
