Baffles me this board. Constant moans about the type of football JM plays, when really you should support him and applaud the fact he’s trying to move with the times and play posession based football out from the back. Yet you think it’s alright that he was going to jump ship at the first chance and congratulate him on doing so. The mind boggles. Ah well. [Post edited 14 Nov 20:38]

I agree with what you are saying, my issue is that it’s the first team to show an interest, and it’s burton, who could be argued are a smaller club than us, who we could also be playing in the same league as us next season. When KH left it was to a much bigger club in a much better position, so as much as I was gutted then, I understood. This I don’t, and it feels like a kick in the teeth.
A year or so down the line when he’s repaid his loyalty and a decent sized club comes in, he’d have my well wishes. Not in this instance though. |

Everyone will have their own views on it and whether it was right or wrong and how it may affect us and what it could potentially mean for the future. I know how it’s made me feel, considering everything that’s happened between the club and JM. I’ve come to my conclusion after taking all that in to consideration, and no doubt others will have come to their own conclusion too. |

Here he is, the poppet master himself. I know nothing through the club, it’s from ann external source. This board is about sharing opinions, and my opinion is that I’m disappointed that a guy we gave their first shot at management to gets his head turned at the first bit of interest. Wouldn’t mind quite as much if it was a bigger club, but the fact is it isn’t, and he’s been tempted at the chance of leaving so soon on to the new project. It doesn’t bode well. He’s only still here due to not being successful, so he clearly wants out. |

I’d be amazed and shocked if Jim joined Burton. They are no better prospect than what we are, quite the opposite I’d say, and I’d doubt he’d jump in to be with the first offer he received, certainly given who it is.
He should stay and finish the job and then receive much better offers. Jim seems sensible enough to look at it from that perspective. |
