Top 3 reasons Martin must be sacked now
at 09:56 20 Oct 2024

Can you imagine how enjoyable that last game at Goodison is going to be for you lot if this gimp is still in charge of us. The white flag will be raised on the coach to the ground.

Glimmers of hope extinguished by the same old problems.
at 09:52 20 Oct 2024

I don’t give a fook about styles of play, for now I just want a manager who makes us a team of horrible b’stards that are horrible to play against and you have to earn a victory against us, coupled with giving the officials a difficult afternoon and not timidly accepting poor decisions.
You are right A1079, this has been an issue since Ralph.

I’m fearful that SR will continue to stick with him. I’m also fearful if they do pull the trigger who we will end up getting next.

Neither of these options fills me with hope.

How Will Russell Martin Be Seen By Saints Fans After Today
at 08:50 19 Oct 2024

Agreed, sod the performance and being brave. We need a win on the board. Now’s not the time for philosophies and styles of play. 3 points no matter how we get them please Russy.

I don’t know if a draw counts as optimistic or pessimistic but that’s what I think will happen.

They must have some form of veto on this.
Either way, the consumers at home are all that matters.

Should Russell Martin Go If He Fails To Beat Leicester
at 10:27 14 Oct 2024

Rapidly approaching the point where it’s not about performances but results. If we don’t win this then he needs to be removed. I appreciate whoever comes in still has the same lack of quality to work with but I’d like us to start being difficult to beat, not every teams favourite game home and away.

Whats Everyone Doing This Football Barren Week
at 11:38 9 Oct 2024

Think Farnborough and Aldershot are in the same borough (Rushmoor) but suspect Aldershot see Woking as their main local rivals. Since moving here 18 years ago I’ve never been able to quite figure it out.

Torn between Farnborough v Enfield or having a very quiet but much needed weekend staying in and recharging the batteries after a non stop 2 months of busy weekends.
Weather will more than likely decide for me.

Nice to see they are doing their best to avoid a derby game next season.

Don’t know about expect; but I’d like for us to get a manger whose sides don’t concede 60+ goals (or whatever the amount was) every season and are actually difficult to score against.

The thing is, the manager isn’t the only problem here, it’s the team at sports republic that select the manger and go after a certain type of player who also need to be replaced.

It’s going to be a record breaking season for all the wrong reasons I fear.

Didn’t have a hope of getting a ticket for this so I’m off for a weekend in Italy and going to watch Como v Hellas Verona (my adopted Italian team) on the Sunday.
Back home Monday evening in time for our game on the tv.

Only up to the permissible upper human natural limits as set by the UCI
Up to the blurred line without ever crossing it, allegedly.

Newcastle away the season they banned away fans while redeveloping the ground.
Managed to get tickets on the gallowgate from a geordie who is well known to a few London Saints. MLT with a late free kick, There were very few of us in attendance that day

I think moving the away fans has definitely changed the dynamic in the ground. I've had season tickets in the Kingsland then the Itchen South since the ground opened and it always had the noise of the away fans drifting down the pitch to the rest of the ground, now it's across the chapel end.
I think David Brailsford from British Cycling christened it the aggregation of marginal gains years ago.
At the end of the day though, if the away team is good enough they'll win regardless of where fans are.

Barring Archer up front, that was probably our strongest starting 11, lets hope RM sticks with similar for Bournemouth.

There needs to be a walkway through or way of cutting round the fanzone at the back of the Northam.

We really need to defend set pieces better.
