I wouldn't label it as strange in the least. i'd label it commonsense and very wise management from Hodgson. Get these young lads a taste of international first team football and make them hungry. He has all the attributes and none the less, potential to be a world class footballer. He has been liverpool's best player this season, up to now. And a England run out can only benefit him. As said above I would also start him from the off and let him run ragged. Himself and Ox on the wings is dangerous. Doubtful its going to happen as one of them won't get as many minutes as they should but, honestly these two lads are actually a glimmer of hope for 2014 onwards. Come on England. Well done Hodgson |

Second to none tonight. And what a beauty his goal was, bit like you see on FIFA when you hit the RB button. Joking aside, he was brilliant tonight. Is he on a pay as you play contract? He doesn't stop hassling, running or putting 110%. Himself, Grant, Donnelly and Grimes could damage teams! |

Because its their local team. It wasn't even the atmosphere. There was times one of his mates was told to sit down and shut the f*ck up for chanting. Why are you on the defensive? Are you one of those boring tw@ts too, haha.. |

I understand. As i was sat not to far from them! But the atmosphere at spotland is dire. Ok, the chants your talking about are annoying to here. But the 'I am a rochdale fan' one? Please tell me how that is a disgrace?! They're trying to get behind the team. Some fans need to open there mouth a little. My nephew and his mates stop going Rochdale because of the atmosphere etc. Sometimes it likes being at a funeral service.. |

But it doesn't label him a monster. Ok, he was braking the law (speed limits and dangerous driving) but it's plain and simple, it was an accident. And I don't think he comes anywhere near being in the same category as Lee Hughes whom drove under the infulence, killed and then fled the scene of a crime to save his own back! Courtney has made a mistake, I for one do believe he deserves the time he'll get! But don't judge someone, when you do not know any little of who and what they are! Because I can guarantee if you sat in a room with the lad, not knowing what he's done your opinion of him would be highly. Not knowing a stint that he's killed someone. He might of done what he has, but that doesn't mean he's a monster! |

Do you know the lad in person? If not, then I don't think you're in any position to judge him. Because a moment of madness he's paid the consequences. And what he has done, doesn't make him a monster! He didn't go out with the intention to kill someone, he's a young lad who's made a stupid stupid mistake. So yes, it is naive to label him. |

And this is football, not being a teacher etc. Take that up with the FA or whoever deals with them situations. And no, TVOS I'm not trotting along the 'nice lad' line. He is a nice lad, this is someone who knows him. Like others said is he now a monster? |

Sorry my bad. Its Jamie Allen i was talking about, not James or whoever i said. Supposed to be the new big thing at the club. Heard he's similar to Paul Scholes! |

Courtney is a nice lad. But i'll agree in what someone said about wreckless driving of late. Basically showing off and boosting his ego. But lets be completely honest, if you was driving a Mercedes & BMW at 18 wouldn't you? Maybe he should of been knocked down a peg or two, but this is no way of doing so, unfortunately its happened. I do not condone what's happened but i think a few comments are naive. I don't think i clarified this clear enough. He hasn't been charged with the deaths, but he has been put on bail. If he is found guilty, then he should serve the time. & When he comes out, work at what he wants to. If he does pursuit in football, then its the FA etc who should be slated, not the lad. I genuinelly hope he isn't found guilty. Such a nice boy and a big big future! |

Heard a lad called james allen is a big name to watch in our yts? |

Aka Courtney Husbands. On bail for boy racing and the deaths of two people in a car crash on Bury New Road. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2197522/Courtney-Meppen-Walter Started off at Bridge FC in Bamford before going to Man City. I do not condone any of this, but everyone makes mistakes. Split second of madness changes someones life/career and ends two others. No matter how much money you have, an 18 year old should not be able to be insured on a Mercedes or any big car like that. Such a nice genuine lad aswell. Was going very far in the footballing trade that's for sure! All over the internet/papers etc. |

You could call me naive, but the lad is 18. He has all the attributed of being a top centre half. I wouldn't mind an 18 year old with the potential he has, permanent. Give the lad a chance, he's most defiantly a league two defender. He'll adapt |

We have seen what bobby can do. He's now back with coleman whom its fair to say got the best out of grant. So lets hope he can do the same! |

Reported all over twitter in the past 2 hours, that he's going there on a season long loan and is expected to sign today. A few barnsley tweets about it too stating they're in on the run for him. But the swfc rumours are trending. Cant see it myself as i'm sure he is the 2nd choice defender at WBA after Mcaulay and Olsson isn't he? http://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/178780-craig-dawson/ Also a baggies fan has a good little input on dawson and his ability. Another who thinks if he progresses well he'll end up an england international [Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]
