Scott McLachlan lifelong Portsmouth supporter and a director on the Portsmouth Supporters Trust (who are currently looking to own the club) is currently walking to all the 92 Football League Clubs. He started his journey in August and looks to complete it in April next year. He is raising money for both Prostate Cancer (which is the Football Leagues charity of the year) and Breast Cancer. My wife and I had the pleasure of accomodating Scott on Wednesday and Thursday night whilst he completed the legs from Oldham to Rochdale to Bury. He is now currently in Bolton. Our Supporters Trust kindly donated £50 to his cause and I had the pleasure of handing the cheque over to him at Spotland on their behalf. I am appealing to our Supporters to make a donation, however small, to his cause.
All very commendable when one considers the amount of work put in by the people promoting these charities, and well done for highlighting a major concern amongst ordinary people.
The truth is somewhat different:
And yes, I fully understand and have thought long and hard about offending anyone closely effected by trauma of this nature.
