Do Morton House MGT and First Form Construction Ltd (‘Morton House’) have the balls or means to take this all the way? We shall see, but the board of directors and Dale Trust aren’t going to buckle, and will be supported by Dale fans and football fans from across the country. |

The sell from Bottomley was that this club could not survive. It was potless and on its knees financially.
The white knight investor was sought and the sell to us punters was we were getting a training ground. We needed a training ground. We must have a training ground.
It was all a distraction.
The punters though saw through it and voted accordingly. People were removed by shareholders and the club was put in safe hands again.
Then out of the blue in July 2021 came the hostile takeover. Not investors from an Emirate state, not Americans or Russians or Chinese investors..... it was a payroll company.
The EFL charge said payroll company under their regulations and began to investigate. The payroll company said they would "look to divest at the earliest opportunity"
The EFL investigation as of today has been live for 5 months.
The crowdfunding being spread far and wide puts pressure on the EFL and also the game to ask itself about how investment in football actually works.
If our 2,000 season ticketholders put in £5 per person each month this year that is £10,000 per month.
And that's before:
* Fans of other clubs
* Former players
* Corporate sponsors
* Secret millionaires
Any excess is donated to Rochdale AFC Football in the Community Trust, a registered charity, which carries out community work and charitable projects. |  |

I think that the point you make about season ticket holders (and others) being sought to put in £5 a month should be promoted RAFCBLUE,it's something that could take off and help with the costs significantly | |

The five pounds per month is a great point.
An advantage is the total keeps moving, that will creat momentum and therefore make it less likely to stall.
Yes it would be great if we could get 2000 people donating 60 quid each straight away but it is unlikely. This needs to be for the long haul |  | | |

There is a great interview with Simon Gauge on BBC RM from yesterday about the legal action & crowd funding (33:20 onwards)... there are also good interviews with Stockdale & O'Connell in the ten minutes or so before.
We're sharing this as far and wide as we can on FB too, but it would be great if people could share the interview / link etc into other local community groups on FB, and keep sharing and tagging people on Twitter. Interest is growing and growing in the story, but with such a big target to hit the more people that know about it the better.

I think it has to be done, perhaps there should be a small flyer too explaining the situation so that its clear that the money is not for the club itself?....
