I went last week to the game against Northants. Tenner in and sit wherever you want. Was less than 500 there which was a bit surprising. I know it was midweek but there must be a couple of million pensioners within an hour of the ground and you can get very cheap season tickets.

or to put it another way. We finished above Durham because we had fewer games rained off. Same points, inferior Run Rate and inferior win rate but because we had fewer games rained off, it is Lancky who go through rather than Durham.
If they used the head to head rule as a tie breaker then fair enough as we beat Durham. |  |

My dad knew them both well. He told me that Walter was a playing legend at Hornets, going on the 1928 GB tour to Australia.
He was a goalkicking fullback too.
When he retired he turned to coaching at the Athletic Grounds and Ken was always up there as a ballboy.
It was always presumed that Ken would automatically sign for Hornets and so no-one actually put a pen a and paper in front of him.
The club then sacked Walter and Ken went straight to Swinton where he was a one-club man and tourist. | | | |

at one time Walter held the Hornets career records for goals points and games played. My old. pE teacher graham starlet took over the points record.
he was unfortunate to play at the same time as the all time great Jim Sullivan (who also later coached Hornets) so was never capped by GB but as you say he was selected to tour down under and scored plenty of points in the club tour games. | | | |
