Ryder Cup singles day - any venue.

Think I would like to go to this purely for the atmosphere - however it has to be said that the best place to watch any golf tournement is actually on TV

Eden Gardens cricket Stadium in Kolkota. Hoping To see England play India there next winter when I will be holidaying in the country. The fact the itinary/dates might not be released until the end of May make planning difficult. The capacity as now been cut from the days of 120,000 attendances, but it's still the second biggest cricket stadium in the world next to the MCG.

I've been lucky enough to see the Olympics, the Ryder Cup, part of the Tour de France and the Grand National live, but one I'd love to see is an FA Cup Final.

Hopefully in the near future too before all of it's tradition and ceremony is washed away

In order:

1. Wrestlemania
2. Monaco Grand Prix
3. Last day at Augusta
4. Boxing Day test at the MCG
5. Cheltenham Gold Cup
6. World Cup Final
7. Champions League final (only if Manchester United are in it)

If I hadn't seen such riches, I could live with being poor

You might need to change the last one to the Europa League Final.... or maybe not!

I'd go for the Boxing Day Test at the MCG, or indeed any Ashes Test in Australia. I quite like the idea of watching cricket in New Zealand too, having seen their quaint grounds on TV recently.

Any other major football cup final as well for me, although I have already been to the Littlewoods Cup Final!

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

I've seen Test cricket in NZ at Hamilton (few facilities and when it rains you get wet but an enjoyable ground to watch cricket at all the same - also sells the best ice-cream I've ever had at a cricket ground). Auckland has the strangest angle of the pitch that you'll ever witness - but then it's a rugby ground). Basin Reserve (Wellington) is the best for me and a "proper" old fashioned ground (in the middle of a roundabout)

In SA I've seen Test cricket on all five current grounds and obviously Newlands (Cape Town) is one of the best in the world. I saw Australia bowled out for 47 in 2012 !! Centurion is my second favourite ground - the outfield is like a snooker table

As for Oz I enjoyed Adelaide Oval best. SCG is their equivalent of Lord's. As for MCG the size of the South Stand has to be seen to be believed - though since I was there the ground is now one big 'bowl'. They get huge crowds there for Aussie Rules - to my mind one of the most boring games ever invented!)
