Different club this, they've never won the FA Cup, not even played in the first round proper. The FA gave them permission to use the old Bury FC name. The old club never came back and died with debts of £15 million.This is a Phoenix club. [Post edited 18 Aug 13:07]

bury fc getting away with it with the government bailing them out left right and center for political gain.

The scheme was unregulated James.
Shiny brochure.. and big promises that turned out to be nothing but a pipe dream.
£10k for a car parking space on a rough old bit of tarmac a couple of miles outside of bury and over 10 miles to Manchester.
Plenty rushed in (from memory bury alluded to big returns around 9-10%).

There really should.
Its conveniently forgotten about by the Phoenix... Happy to change the name to BFC but wanting to keep plenty of distance from all the shenanigans.
Then there was the music festival that went a similar way owing £650k.
