Very interesting read but I find it hard to believe that there are no South American based players on the list. Were unattached players included in the analysis as they would surely be the first ones to look at.
Soul music is still alive and kicking round the country. I attend loads of soul nights and weekenders through the year. Next weekend 2nd to 4th August is the Margate Soul Festival which has loads of venues around Margate for the 3 days. All genres including Northern, modern, old school house, soulful house, disco and the 80's soul boy stuff. https://margatesoulfestival.co.uk/
Got to say I totally agree with you regarding Alfie Tuck he looked very accomplished and calm and aware on and off the ball. A play maker in the offing I'd say. Also thought Lloyd looked confident and wasn't afraid to take players on. He was a bit over enthusiastic and obviously needs to gain experience but I thought he looked a great prospect and definitely one to be loaned out for a season
Does anyone know why Chair isn’t in the squad for the Tottingham game? I know Field picked up a knock in Girona so that could explain his abscence but Chair is a strange one unless he’s started his community service today!
You're hoping aren't you! I doubt very much the owners are willing to bankroll another £20 million (very conservative figure) to refurbish the ground when basically the land it's on is their meal ticket should finances go even further south. The only time I can see them refurbing is if we reach the 'holy grail' of the premier league where we'll have to modernise and the owners can recoup their money.
Anyone who plays pressing, attacking entertaining football! So that counts out Southgate who managed to turn the most talented England side for a good while into pedestrian robots
I see on Instagram yesterday that Chris Willock the Child of God and servant for christ is gallavanting about on Jamaican beaches as a free agent so I doubt he's having discussions about signing a new 2 year contract for us or anyone else at the moment!
I really don't see the point of this thread so early! The trransfer window isn't even open yet. Most players contracts run until the end of June. I doubt we'll do any business until we see what players have been released by clubs so that we can sign players on a free.
See this is the problem! Yes we are capable of competing in this division but it's no good getting ahead of ourselves. All this does is get some thinking we are going to be top 6 next season and starts putting pressure on Cifuentes to deliver and if we're 16th at Christmas some will be saying he's got to go. Let the bloke have at least one season getting us on an even keel and see where that takes us for a push the following season. Then if we do make the top 6 this coming season then that's a bonus. I'd prefer us to have a crack at the League Cup or maybe progress in the FA Cup this season coming.
