Good luck to both Paul and Gavin fine servants to our club. But I am with Monkey, it's good to see changes on the coaching team and fringe players being moved on. |

It's Marti further putting his identity on the club. |

The majority of fans take their lead from the media who are worse than the fans. When the lads won in 1966 they were shielded from the media and all it took was no TV and newspapers. Today the players and management are under the microscope and can't get away from it. It's the same for every country of course but our media can be some of the worst. It started with a Turnip you know. |

What's new? Gareth is a lucky manager but his record so far is stealing defeat from the jaws of victory. Gareth has five days to go back to the drawing board, wipe it clean and start over. He should look at his squad forget about personalities and history and concentrate on selecting a team capable of beating the Swiss. This team should take to the field confident, crystal clear on what is expected of them and the roles they should play. I do not believe that Gareth and his team are capable of doing this whereas the vast majority of Premier League managers are. I hope he proves me wrong. |

Too late I think as he took the wrong players to the tournament. He took a risk with Luke Shaw which is fine by me but he didn't take another left back with him so we start the competition with square pegs in round holes which is simply bonkers. |

daveB ''I'll leave this one with you whilst you spend another week slaughtering the manager and his staff'' People go over the top for sure but the nations media really are the villains here. Journalists and pundits alike have put the England team on a pedestal and whipped up the country in to believing that we are the favourites to win the tournament. Exactly the same people then turn on the manager and players when they put on poor performances . We should be turning on them for getting it so wrong! Gareth and his team have been very poor but they are still in the competition. The more pragmatic of us have never expected England to win the Euros. |

Can’t agree with this. A World Cup semi final, Euro’s Final. Something hasn’t been right since the Iceland game. Gareth needs to twist big time and someone in the squad needs to go all Ronaldo and bollock his teammates and drag them through this second half. |

I think the line up today is not as important as the issues affecting the squad culminating in lacklustre performances. You could draw comparisons with our own team three seasons ago that plummeted down the table from a strong play off spot. Expect another dour game today with perhaps a single goal in it, penalties would not be a great surprise. Anything more than that then well done to Gareth and the team for turning it around. |

1986 we only started playing against Argentina after we went 2-0 down and we scored one quickly and had a couple of near misses, had we started the game on the front foot...... We have had a long line of cautious managers and managers trying to fit all of their favourite players in to a starting eleven. Sir Bobby had his moments as did Terry Venables but overall we have worried too much about the opposition rather than unleash our talent upon them, Lineker has been saying the same for years. This squad is unbalanced and mentally broken. I think there are about 10, 11 changes to the squad that faced Malta and North Macedonia a year ago which is a lot but injuries and loss of form explains the majority of the changes. You get the feeling that whoever starts for us in this tournament it's going to a struggle, the lack of movement in the final third and nobody driving us forward in the middle. |

I can't remember when, I can't remember against who, it was at home and Alan McDonald and Danny Maddix played together many years after leaving the club. It was kind of surreal but a great pleasure watching them play together again especially as they were both very fit. |
