Yeah, definitely part of his Ambient Works 85-92, just not selected!
Polygon Window ‎— 'Surfing On Sine Waves' is another one from that era that I still find breathtaking and is always not far from the turntable. Simply stunning.
Sorry Croydon, I must of missed the soundcloud question!
Yes, user18081971's soundcloud page is incredible.
I know he took a bunch of cassettes to Renaat Vandepapeliere at R&S Records and they cherry picked the best for SAW 85-92. Some of those ones they didn't pick must of ended up there as you can hear the same equipment being used from that time.
He put out so much vinyl in the 90s under different names, it was virtually impossible to keep up but the blokes behind the counter at Sister Ray were always clued up on which 12" was his under a different name so I managed to pick up a lot of it.
I once saw him DJ in Vauxhall and he pulled a blender out and used it as a special sound effect throughout his set!
He's one of the most important composer and musician of our generation for me. Proper Beethoven genius level type sh!t.
Never saw him play but to become a legend at Anfiled during that time speaks for it's self.
Saint and Greavsie is still the only football program I've felt was required viewing, hence remains the only football program that Ive watched (except when we're Premiership and then MOTD becomes required viewing. Thank fu(k for iPlayer and the ability to skip past the studio stuff and just watch the football).
Their undatlurated love and shared passion for the game was great to watch and it was about enjoying football, not about being first with the news or telling managers how they got it wrong.
Nothing but pure actual football knowledge that they just naturally shared with the viewer.
How to stay completely silent as you don’t know if your 7 year old has accidentally left her microphone on and anything you say can be heard by her entire class and teacher at any time.
That telling your daughter to ask for three points on a Saturday when the teacher asks what the school should put in their prayers for morning assembly is frowned upon.
My daughter answering the question ‘What was the best thing you did last week?’ with ‘Watch our stunning performance and victory away at Watford on Monday night’ results in the teacher rolling her eyes and swiftly moving on to the next girl in the register.
And to be far more patient and supportive, even after literally telling her the answer after 30 mins of trying to explain division and then she still gets it wrong when the teacher asks!
This is still my favourite match to have attended.
This is the game when 9 year old me realised that we were actually decent under Venables and that we could actually win something, maybe get promoted as well.
