Cabango and Darling. There is no money. Try logic.
at 19:37 27 Sep 2024

Coleman has a problem. Both Cabango and Darling and Cullen want to stay but there is not enough money around the new cost conscious club.

It appears to me all can stay until the end of the season but there could be bids in The January.

It makes sense to sell one and pay the other two what they want or let Cabango and Cullen walk at the end of the season and pay Darling.

A tricky one for the chairman. I stand to be corrected but both Cullen and Cabango will bring in development fees for the club whereas Darling would not.

If all three cannot be kept happy financially perhaps then it would be better to keep Darling happy and let the local lads walk.

On the other hand Darling would most likely draw a fee in The January to pay the pay rises of the other two. I confess I do not know what the s development fees would be. Swansea has to pay for Key.

Chelase and Man City have been forced to sell the family silver local lads in preference to transfered in players as they are logged as total profit in accountancy terms. A similar outcome for a different model perhaps. ,(Cole Palmer and Connor Gallagher sold way too cheap)

Andrew Coleman : I don’t know if the club is up for sale
at 19:21 27 Sep 2024

Coleman in my eyes is fixing things that Jenkins had lost control over and Birch and Winter did not fix.

Recruitment has been a long bug bear where the club has fallen short. He has a new recruitment team and a new fresh philosophy similar to that of 2009.

I back Coleman. He does not deserve to be called a puppet or worse. Whether the club sells Swansea is not up to him. It is up to the leaders of the LLC and Mr Morris.

As far as I understand people do not sell something by making new investments. .

There is no doubt they would be willing to sell at the right price. There is nothing new there.

Members of the Trust with the shares worth $1.6m per 1% were completely oblivious to the threat of relegation. They had not even considered selling any of their shares. There were 1000+ members and not one saw " the drop coming" in 2015 and 2016.

Perhaps they did. If so they were either asleep or did not care. I have been banging this drum for some time. The members should apologize. When fans become owners there is nowhere to hide.

Stay out of matters you do not understand. You post t like a football fan with over emotional language. It belongs on the football field not in the boardroom. Swansea fans as a whole have come up well short in the boardroom. That is why all the other shareholders in 2016 made multi millions and they did not.You are out of your depth on this matter.

The LLC is the parent company of Swansea city and the major shareholder. The fans own 10% of the club but are passengers. Coleman has invested it seems in the LLC giving himself a percentage ownership of the LLC. A proportion of the cash he has put in the LLC has gone into Swansea city safe to buy assets like Ronald and Franco. The profits for the sale of these players will go to Swansea city not the LLC.

The fans group will benefit from Colemans LLC pro rate investment if the valuation of the club increases.

Whether or not the LLC itself or the club ad a whole is up for sale is not up to the Chairman of Swansea city. It is a mater for the ownership group primarily Levien Kaplan Morris Silverstein and Morgan. The question is for them not him. According to fans gossip the club has been "up for sale" for years. Some were talking about. "quick flip" years ago. Another stated they would leave once the parachute s were over and put the clubb in administration. Complete tosh.

Coleman is a beath of fresh air for the club and ATM is looking to be on the right track. The normal suspects are out in force with their puppet slurs

Do you have to be from Swansea to support The Swans ?
at 17:23 27 Sep 2024

I have lived in London Norwich Newcastle Scarborough and Birmingham and always supported Swansea city. You missed the point of Leighton Buzzard.

I would not support Swansea city it they were based there. Part of the appeal for me is it is Welsh as so am I.

Beating English teams gives me pleasure as a does being no 1 team in Wales. Swansea have in recent years " punched above its weight". Currently fans see this era as unsuccessful but in reality mid table in the Championship is the clubs natural position and above it median.

You must be real confident "Lovely boy Joey" will reject the offer right?. Watch this space.

It is a real time loyalty test. We all know playing for Wales is bad for Swansea at 34. At 24 it is great as with Ollie.

Let's see how much Joey loves Swansea city. I have explained to you that his decision will be very revealing.

I put it to you playing for Wales is definitely not in the interest of the club unless he goes to the World cup for the fee (insight). Most fans agree with this statement. He is not 24 like Ollie Cooper.

Playing again for Wales = Swansea City is NOT my chief love and never was

I bet that is not what he has said behind the door of his office. These insights are what make the Neath Valley the place to understand stuff free from the over emotional strings of Llandore, Penllegaer Singleton, Mayals, Bonymaen and Morriston

I was born in the Neath Valley and grew up there partly and they in rural Carmarthenshire ( now called West Wales for the BBC who know English people do not care).

I have always supported Swansea city. It is based on local geographic factors. My home area. If the club was relocated to Leighton Buzzard I would cease to support them even with the same shirt badge logo etc. It is not just a brand .

There is a strong Anglophile slant on here. There is nothing wrong with this actually. It belongs to the old valleys culture who were Welsh but turned their TV aerial to HTV West to avoid the Welsh language shows before S4C was formed.

Welsh nationalism is not nasty like English nationalism is.Thwrs are not exceptions of course which all pro
Welsh people condemn.

Supporting Wales is not a threat to anyone. Allen for Wales is a backward step especially as the games now are the Nations league designed for giving younger players a chance. Bellers pulled star man Colwill from the u21 and he did not kick a BBC all.

If Joey signs up with Bellers some might argue given his wages and performances for Swansea he is taking the club for a ride. In my view he has expressed in love for the club in his words but not his actions.

His biggest love in club football was Stoke City. It is obligatory to love Liverpool to avoid grief from their entitled fans.

This is not a wind up. If Joey is committed to Swansea then it must be a no.

If it is a yes "I rest my case your honour".

On what basis was Birch " brilliant"? What did he do to deserve this praise.

Do not get me wrong he seemed to do a decent job sold McBurnie for real good money perhaps. Winter was stated for getting £11m for Rodon but he is not worth much more now.

I argue he was weak on the BLM matter and allowed the club to be used as a vehicle for a discredited organization for free with no due diligence in a rush for the moral high ground.

He will argue everyone else did this too. I would argue he would have been " brilliant" if he went a different route and explained it to Cooper, Andre Ayew and Grimes.

He knows his own body and that is why he retired. If he has second thoughts it means he is not sure about his body.

He could feel he is not good enough for 90 mins for Swansea anymore and playing for Wales in better than 10 minute cameos.

If he plays for Wales he will get injured. It is almost guaranteed as with Ramsey.

Another issue is the fees the World cup organisers pay for clubs foe use of their players.
Did Swansea not get £1m for Allen Ntcham and Cooper from Qatar WC?

It has come to mean this but has no link to the the metallurgical meaning. Enthused is adequate.

Many people think it means something else like reinforced or strengthened. It is used loosely in football.

U21s v Bristol City
at 14:10 26 Sep 2024

Evan saved the team as the defence was run ragged in the first half. Faakre is just back from injury and Iestyn is an u18 as I understand it.. The coach indicated the Bristol city team were more experienced.

The u21 and loans seems much better organised this season with Liam Smith Congreve Josh T and Cotterill all going out early and mist getting game time.

They have already seen off one Swansea legend in Brendan. A champions league team to relegation in 12 months.

Look at Ramsey who had " unfinished business" with Wales and ended up finishing off Cardiff city with silly wages stopping them getting a decent centre forward while getting treatment for weeks on end.

Joe needs to play at least 20 games for Swansea.

Luke Williams really isn’t sure about his squad. Free agent update and Bristol
at 22:42 25 Sep 2024

I cannot see how you can argue they are not interested. The most dis-interested owners are are the fans ownership group and their members. They make statements organise forums for which they do not attend for cross examination.

They were worth a staggering £21m in 2016 but have not sold a single share that was virtually handed to them for pennies. The members were so dis interested they did not even consider or mitigating against the effects of relegation on their holding. In a recent forum some disrespectful fan (notably from the "Alliance") was more concerned about who the head of recruitment was seen talking to at one scouting trip than matters of governance.

So where is the disinterest?

a) They do not invest? { A reported £23m of "interest"}

b) They do not attend. {Coleman and his VP is one of them and lives in Swansea}.

c) They do not engage. {Numerous engagement with no vetted questions}

d) But the recruitment man is no good {Ronald, Eom, Vigoreaux, Key, Tymon and Franco have changed the narrative)

e) Levien is a human being and knows he will get abuse and this could affect the team. Coleman is a cash owner. They only turn up o for the odd away game. If the fans fawned on them like they do for Hollywood A listers in Wrexham he would be here more often.

The word itself is dubious. "Hoover" is also a noun and adjective simply from use. You can do some hoovering and a room can be "hoovered,"

Explain to me exactly what galvanized means in Martin Allen's "what we did first at Barnet was galvanize the enthusiasm of the dressing room". It is meaningless.
