Mark Warburton interview
at 19:03 18 Nov 2024

Warburton tenure was ultimately cut short due to poor management from above.
I'm hearing a lot of Nourry out posts but not a lot about who would replace him. I'm no expert, far from it, but Warburton would be my choice.
So what if he would want full control of everything at the club. I mean, who exactly is doing a decent job anyway. ? Apart from our community stuff and the kit man.

Thats the point though Dave. He fell out with the board (TF, Bhatia, etc) and the DoF (Les).
He called them out and lost his job in that third season.

The owners are killing our club, not Mark Warburton, or Marti Cifuentes.

Mike Tyson vs The Problem Child
at 20:08 15 Nov 2024

Well, i dont think Tyson will be thinking along those lines. He strikes me as being an honest guy and someone that naturally will want to kill Jake Paul once he's in the ring. I could be wrong.
Whats the result then, if you dont mind me asking? Just so i can put a few quid on it.

Problem child got a little slap from Tyson. He didnt see it coming and didnt even retaliate because he's not a natural fighter.
I hope Tyson knocks him out in round one but i feel the age difference maybe an issue if it goes on for a few rounds.

Yep , i am reading between the lines, but there's more lines than a Coote party here , so its quite easy to formulate an educated guess. Who else is going to phone him up about his job being in the balance.? And if others (probably Les) had a different version of events(Les probably under pressure himself) than it still wasn't managed properly.
My guess is it got a bit personal between them at the time and their egos clashed. Not good for them and certainly not good for QPR.

That thread, showing no sign of let up. Just keeps on keeping on .
Yeh completely agree mate, great lads .Its a genuine group of mates now. Nice to finally meet NGB a few games ago too.
Also a big shout out to OutwestR. The coolest dude on that thread and an excellent radio DJ, with a fine selection of records.

Yeh, it was disappointing. He was way out of his depth though.

Mark Warburton interview
at 23:12 13 Nov 2024

It all went wrong for us after Mark Warburton.
He called out Ramsey and the academy and Les didnt like it. That phone call he received on the north circular was from Les wasnt it?. Dropping out of the top 6 for the first time that season and then threatening him about his job.
Les really got this one wrong. Just felt really unnecessary to change managers. Next in Beale. Great job Les.
Having said all that , this interview felt more an angle to get back into management with QPR. Not really comfortable shifting Marti on for Warburton.
One thing i would say is Warburton likes to call the shots. We need someone that knows football and finances. It would be nice for once, to have a person in that boardroom that talks some sense and isnt just a yes man.

Ownership of QPR
at 06:41 13 Nov 2024

It's wierd isn't it. We have mega wealthy owners. The Mittals still have a percentage, I belive.

Built a new training ground, which I thought would never happen, so that's a positive.
Is the club in debt or are the owners just covering the day to day bills? Is it players wages that the biggest expenditure?
Would clearing the decks( which was rumoured last season on LFW) actually help in selling up?
I dunno.
Wierd club. We've try to do our business above board unlike some clubs, Reading for example, and we're still in the shit.

He was talking about management though, not a DoF/CEO role.

Id have him back at the club (as DoF), but i know not all fans would.

Pretty shabby treatment if you ask me. I always thought he was a good QPR man at the club.

Is anyone else a bit done?
at 18:54 10 Nov 2024

Stick a fork in me, im done.

Nah, i'll just keep ploughing on supporting this club till i check out and leave my kids supporting this mess of a club.
I'll still go to a handful of games a season, posting on here, my WhatsApp groups , my FB groups and meeting up with family and mates at the football.
