Exactly, football scouting via a laptop, how depressing it all is.

Jordan Rhodes - Blackpool
at 16:01 16 Nov 2024

Just watching Blackpool v Northampton on Sky + and seeing even at 34, Jordan Rhodes still got pace, lays ball on well and proper centre forward. Blackpool signed him on a free from Huddersfield after being on loan, scored 15 for Blackpool last season, why can't we really be looking at experienced pros like this, also Northampton have Martin Waghorn on the bench again a decent striker at Championship level only signed for them a couple of weeks back after being released by Derby end of last season.

Ben Doak - Cifuentes Tactics & Team Set Up
at 12:14 16 Nov 2024

Agree we are a weak team and have been for quite a while.
Against Boro, Doak was a class act and tearing Santos to pieces. Regardless of whether Santos was played out of position I have seen nothing to suggest he is a player of the strength and quality needed at Championship level. Personally think we are a bit of a team where throw mud at the wall and hope it sticks, it seems that philosophy runs right through the club.

Mark Warburton interview
at 19:08 14 Nov 2024

I really liked Mark Warburton as our manager, it has all gone downhill since he and Eustace left. For all the politics at play moving Eustace to manager and Warburton to DoF may have been far too extreme for QPR and our further descent into mediocrity, far too many agendas at play at Loftus Road no doubt.

News blackout
at 19:03 14 Nov 2024

We have a goal blackout every home game in the Loft End, especially from our beloved Rsss, it's like a goal desert down our end, unless you are the away team. Be interesting (maybe not) the number of goals for and against at the Loft End in last 2 seasons, expect it will be grim reading.

MC has got to go
at 13:02 12 Nov 2024

I don't see the point in sacking Marti, we might as well continue until end of the season and see what happens. The team is so poor and lacking quality at this level that whoever comes in won't turn this lot. This all reminds me of Ipswich of a few seasons back, Mick McCarthy became a lame duck manager and they just faded into League 1. The writing has been on the wall for the last 2 seasons we can't compete in the Championship, the dynamics of our team just does not work at this level. Think even if we survive will it be better next season who knows, standards are low. League 1 won't be easy and the current lot will need to be cleared out and some form of playing identity be installed that the fans can get behind, because it sure ain't there at all this season.

Ownership of QPR
at 21:56 11 Nov 2024

A concern here is where we fall now within the 4 major clubs in West London let alone the wider London football landscape and the attractiveness of a club that now can't compete with its 3 nearest neighbours is not much of a prospect.

What we need is better players
at 20:18 10 Nov 2024

Exactly pace and physicality are the strengths needed in this league and in top flight football generally and the ability to transition from defence to attack in three or four passes. Look at Boro's 3rd goal last Tuesday perfect example, QPR just don't or arn't capable of playing that way we take about 10 passes left to right, back and forth. Yes the players are not up to it and the Championship is now passing us by.

Is this season written off already?
at 08:32 10 Nov 2024

The season is not written off as there is always hope, but we just no longer have the right type of players to be competitive in this division. It has been staring us in the face for a couple of seasons now, our time is probably up for the time being as a Championship club, it happens just think in recent years reasonably medium to big clubs have dropped to League 1 be it poor form or financial shenanigans e.g. Ipswich, Derby, Sheffield Wed, Portsmouth, Sunderland and Charlton to name a few.

It's All Been Downhill Since Warburton Left
at 12:11 9 Nov 2024

I am not wanting Warburton back, just making the comment personally that it was a better football experience. Our away record was good and home form was obviously better. Yes he made mistakes and he had far superior players like Eze, Wells, Samuel, Chair and a performing Willock, as long with a few others and a playing identity.

It's All Been Downhill Since Warburton Left
at 10:57 9 Nov 2024

I know I will get pelters, but for me I really enjoyed the 3 years Mark Warburton was in charge with John Eustace. We actually looked like a decent competitive Championship side. I know it's all history and plan b stuff but it has gone downhill big time since 2021/22 season and this season could well be the final nail in our Championship coffin.

Where hope went to die – Preview
at 10:37 9 Nov 2024

I am actually not dreading the Leeds game today, more the Stoke game, Watford and future home games. I am really questioning why I bought a ticket for Watford (disaster again no doubt), as a season ticket holder who goes to all LR games, now really questioning whether I can face watching my team surrender any more at home. I salute the 1300 plus going up to Leeds today.

Communication
at 20:43 8 Nov 2024

Don't blame you at all for how you feel about attending games with as you rightly describe the slop we are being served up. Me and a mate drive down from Northampton for home games and invariably the poor state of the team and our abysmal home form really is testing our resolve, especially the midweek games like Tuesday. On the communication front it's all smoke and mirrors with this club, just don't know what to believe and what our strategy is, if we actually have one.

Team for Saturday now…
at 14:14 8 Nov 2024

It doesn't matter who is in the line up, they will quickly concede a couple of goals and that will be it. Much respect to the 1300 travelling to Leeds but this is most likely to be a thankless task, an easy win for Leeds.

London Clubs and those nearby in the last decade on the up !!
at 08:57 8 Nov 2024

We had a golden age from the early 1970s through to the mid 1990s, but even that was tinged with Division 2 football for a few years. In a way talk to anybody of a certain age about QPR and all they probably mention is Stan Bowles and Rodney Marsh. We have not been a force in London football since we left the Premier League in 1996, even with the couple of seasons we returned back in 2011. Our position in West London football is probably more worrying, let's face it Chelsea are in a different stratosphere, Fulham have remained stable although boring they attract a certain dynamic and Brentford have just taken off in the last 10 years with owners and supporters on the same level, they have been pretty impressive. To be honest I can't see us progressing while we stay at Loftus Road in a stadium on its uppers and owners who just don't know what to do with the club. Unless a big move further west takes place I think the slide will continue as the fan base gets older and the team just sinks further into mediocrity.

Mark Robins sacked
at 17:52 7 Nov 2024

I would like to see him at QPR, understands the EFL, done a great job at Coventry. The trouble is we now have quite a few players that are not robust enough for the Championship. At the moment can't see Cifuentes turning it around at Rangers, 14 games in we are looking worse each game and home games are a right mess. If we did go to League 1 is Cifuentes the right fit for a league that is just as tough if not more than the Championship. Robins has experience throughout the EFL.

Bonfire of the vanities – Report
at 16:51 7 Nov 2024

I am suprised we are still getting decent home support, thought for the first time on Tuesday night that the fans patience had run out with this lot. Regardless of the reports circulating about Norry and Cifuentes and player recruitment, afraid that Cifuentes now looking a bit of a busted flush. I thought Boro were a superior team to Sunderland and it showed, they sensed our weaknesses and took full advantage. We are being served a load of slop at home and it does not look like improving soon. Seen every game this season and can only point to the 2nd half at Luton as being enjoyable, the rest has been lamentable.
