Got to disagree, didn’t create any goal scoring opportunities but composed on the ball and rarely lost possession.
Different class to anything else out there. Hasn’t played for months, but will be up to speed far quicker than the rest of them. Will absolutely be key to turning this slump around. |

Derby had a team full of specimens, they just swatted our lot aside like meek children in their way. Poor Saito will get very little joy in this league and must literally be battered and bruised after every game. Poor choice for him and for us. |

This line up has relegation written all over it. A decent team would have put 3 past us by now.
Weak in the tackle, no marking, no tracking, no real pace in the side. Struggling to find anything positive about this performance. Saito has done absolutely zip and his defending his farcical.
Can only hope Chair and JCS bring us back to life after the international break. |

Hope. And that their statistics at their respective clubs indicated they were good, if not exceptional, performers in their respective leagues.
This, however, is the Championship. Let’s at least give them this season before vilifying them as useless. For me, only Celar is of major concern, but he needs to get at least 20 games under his belt before any sort of opinion is proffered to his true capabilities. |

Massive fan, but he played it too safe playing for England. Needs to impose himself more and take some risks. One of the best dribblers in the league, but never really showed it. Seemed a bit overawed which is a shame. |

Whatever type they are, it isn’t working. They don’t dominate the midfield and they don’t provide the service required for the likes of Frey and Dembele.
We have a better keeper and striker than last season and our defence is sound. Unfortunately, the midfield is not functioning in any way shape or form. At the moment it is a confused mess and needs significant work. The return of Chair is critical and if Dembele is better in the n-10 role ( no evidence to suggest he is after Saturday’s performance) then we have only Smyth or Anderson as options on the right, neither of whom can defend for toffee.
Be interesting to see the line up tomorrow as the tombola is in full swing, but Hull are no mugs and have a deeper squad than we do. It could be a seriously bumpy ride for a good few weeks yet. |

The “red mist” hangs around Colback like a bad smell and always will. He is unable to control his anger or temper during games when the Adrenalin is flowing. It’s his nature and he/we will have to live with it as no amount of yellow cards or suspensions will ever change who he is. |

Men against boys. Our newbies, with exception of Nardi and maybe Harrison are too lightweight in this league. Beginning to doubt the footballing ability of some of them as well.
Long season ahead, with very few grass roots showing so far. |

Competent at what exactly. Everyone just wants to give the ball back to Cook.
That was horrible. One cross from Saito the sum of our attacking threat from the 3 AM’s. Varane and Field just go back with it every time.
As a team we are going backwards. A long road ahead for Marti with this lot. |

When Marti finally decides on his strongest eleven and preferred formation with the inclusion of Chair, then and only then, will we start to kick on a bit.
Bit of a mish mash at the moment, but only one loss from 6 is not bad going all things considered. |

Spot on as usual.
We simply cannot continue to accommodate Anderson and Madsen playing together. It’s one or the other with Varane accompanying Field/Colback.
Dembele is not a winger. He plays at 10 or Smyth takes the right wing spot.
Saiito is cover for Chair only.
We have five players at 5”6 or under and are getting bullied. This will continue unabated unless our movement and available pace is used more effectively. We can expect more rough house tactics up at Blackburn this weekend and should plan accordingly. Back to the drawing board titled pragmatic. |
