Superb result. The players didn't do what they were told as in the Arsenal game but it just proved enough to beat a mid-table very poor Championship side.
The only blot was Armstrong who looked unfit and clueless and should have come off earlier as the difference when Lemina came on was night and day as far as pressing and getting into attacking positions etc. In fact he seemed to be possessed by the spirit of JWP who was correctly left home with Davis. Good job by the lads.

Another good performance, at em from the off and I felt there was only going to be one winner once we were in front.
Well taken goal, but perhaps the through ball from PEH should have been cut out.
Could have had another couple before the penalty, but how good was that to go in at Half Time 2 up.
2nd half couldn't even had another before we conceded.
Don't know what the hell McCarthy was doing though - switched off ? A good save before their goal and a couple after, as we sat back and invited pressure.
Then we were a bit more organised on the break and Obafemi should have scored but put it wide, then scored after Redmond robbed their defender and then could have had another.
At 3-1 all Hudd did was put balls into our box and we dealt with these quite well. Just 1 scare with a ball along the 6 yard line that missed everyone.
Only moan was PEH getting booked so misses the next game and Mbenza standing on Armstrong's tummy - got a yellow but if the ref saw the tread, then it should have been a red.
Bring on West Ham and then it is a couple of easy ones !!
Safe journey back lads, Merry Christmas and see you all at SMS on Thurs

All the things that were wrong before are still wrong but the players are playing with confidence and that is making such a difference. Don't know whether it's the system or the training methods.

Defenders are still making mistakes but don't seem to have the fear that one error will cost them the game. Attackers are still either over passing or blazing over but have confidence to run at goal rather than invariably stop and pass back you can see the improvement. Really, really, impressed in what RH has done in such a short space of time.

Bring on the rest of the season.

Result never looked in doubt after Redmond's goal. Lots of good intent but first half saw a lot of sloppy passing from our players, much better focused and disciplined second half after Ralph reminded them that their places in the team are not permanent but defence still looked shaky under pressure. Romeu & Hojberg were outstanding in the middle of the park and Redmond is turning into a very good player.

Valery struggled at times through inexperience at this level so we must hope that Cedric's absence has more to do with injury recovery than the transfer window. Targett is I'm proving but nowhere near Bertrand when fit.

He keeps on picking MacKay and John, but they are both useless and have shown nothing since they’ve come here.

First victory at Roots Hall since 1985 when Bobby Moore was manager! 111 fans witnessed an historic occasion and boy did we celebrate!

Great match. We didn´t control the match all through, but I thought we played ok and defended well. The believe is back with the players. Redmond looks like a totally changed player. Vestergaard is certainly beginning to show what he is capable of. The youngsters get chances now! Full marks to Ralph Hasenhüttl.
I had a bad dream that Spurs took him from us next summer when MoPo goes to Man. U. or Real Madrid....
Luckily it was just a dream. He looks a class manager! He was certainly worth waiting for. Let´s forget the poor football we´ve seen since Koeman left and enjoy our new ´expression`.
COYS! <3

Maybe churlish to talk negatives after yesterday's joy but SM got away with the subs , or lack of . Eze had his worst game of the season and was AWOL when we were under the cosh and fresh legs were needed . Admittedly the bench options were limited but maybe BOS for Eze and move Freeman inside ? Ok so we got away with it but just conceding half the pitch to them for the last 15 mins was a dangerous game . Some great performances- Pav was incredible and easily MOM for me but BFGand Furs also brilliant. And the team seemed to understand the significance of the win even though not many of them will have played there for us before . Now please don't do the obvious Rs thing of losing at home to the bottom team !

We were on top for big periods of the game. McBurnie should have buried his chance, Bony should have buried the penalty. Celina is useless out wide and Montero is useless fullstop.
