By 7.30pm on Monday evening Saints will find out the plethora of clubs that they could meet if they dispense of Shrewsbury in the 3rd round of the FA Cup and get to the 3rd round and then subsequently the 5th, confused ? me too !

The first thing Saints have to do is get through the 3rd round against Shrewsbury, either by beating them at St Mary's or being given a bye due to the Shrews being forced to forfeit the tie due to their Covid 19 outbreak.

If they do that then Saints will play Arsenal at home in the 4th round.

If Saints subsequently win that tie then they will meet either Chorley or Wolves away from home in the 5th round.

SanMarco added 22:21 - Jan 11 Haven't quite grasped the reason for having 5th round draw too but I am sure the enormous brains at the FA have their reasons. Probably best not to plan for Arsenal or Wolves because the Shrews are bound to beat us if we do. There is a rumour that Leeds will be postponed for it, which I suppose can we done with no fans in sight.
