Used to use the old facilities when I worked for BA , as it used to be the old British Airways staff club.
The facilities were pretty decent, had tennis courts, football, cricket pitches ,a good gym so they seem to be using the changing rooms and the old gym facilities as the temporary base.
The main club building looks to have been taken down….loads of memories at the place, Friday lunchtimes back in the day….subsidised food and beer 😂😂
Overall it’s a big location….great move by the owners. |

Feel that its not entirely the fault of McClaren. I simply think the team is not good or strong enough to compete for a full 90 minutes of competitive championship football. The division is a tough one and one where every game is a battle for points. Yes Bristol C were a weaker opponent (on paper) but the board seemed to have thought we finished mid table great lets build a team around the youngsters and the players left. In fact we haven't strengthened at all. To me the midfield looked static , Scowen and Luongo looked like their laces had been tied together. Freeman looked lost at times, Bidwell doesn't seem as quick as I've seen him before..etc etc...
Is it me or does it look like we have no pace, Eze yes the boy has talent but I don't see players running at speed at defenders and taking them on.
Watched brief highlights of the Swansea V Leeds game and the pace they seemed to be playing was a different level.
Oh dear...I don't post very often so had to get this off my chest...last night was the first time in a long time I was close to TV Rage :-) |

I heard that sky were going to revamp thier Sports channels and have 2 or 3 dedicated football channels. They probably had to secure the Championship as it looks like they won't be getting Champs league back anytime soon. They would have to shop 4-5 games from the Championship every week. |

Also born at Hillingdon Hospital, live in West Drayton which is right next to Heathrow, Iver and Langley. Always looking to move but being so close to the rail line into London / Reading works for both my wife and Me.
Hopefully will move out of West Drayton in the next couple of years. Currently work in Bracknell so would like to come out this way...maybe Wokingham. |
