| News Comment | Pellegrino Reveals That Saints Are Looking At New Signings at 11:51:50
Whether you have changed your tune or not Nick, this article judges the sitauation perfectly And the Comments indicate perfectly why I Have to take a break from the Ugly every now and then because you seem to have attracted such a negative crowd This lot would wet their pant whatever happened. They just like being unhappy I thank god I circualte in a more positive and level-headed Sainst crowd Making progress at the level we are at with a long-term plan is a really difficult job and a lot of people seem to think they could do better and that's just laughable |
| News Comment | Saints At FC Midtjylland The Verdict at 15:46:22
So, in esssence, Wah Wah Wah my football team lost and its not fair. We are the mighty brits and shouldn't lose to some tin pot team from a nothing league. I salute the few people on this forum who tried to offer something positive to the discussions. e.g. Consigliere. Goodbye and good luck, I'm outa here |
| News Comment | Saints V FC Midtjylland The Verdict at 15:10:33
I'm in a good place to see this when we are kicking towards the Northam (1st half) and I can say that whenever Maya and Matt had the ball near the touchline there was never anyone up the line as an option, they were all going inside and unreachable from a low-risk ball. So they had to go back to Jose & Caulker who then got pressurised and had to hit it long to Pelle or go back again to The Stek who did the same. By this time someone had usually appeared on the wing. Not so well placed to see 2nd half but I think we seemed to use the space on the wings far better. Especially later on with Mane wide right, but by then he was a bit too knackered. I think theyre defence may get more to do when we go their as there certainly not as good as us. |
| News Comment | Manchester United To Launch Bid For Sadio Mane at 18:17:58
I think I need to get into the laundry trade in this city and offer a comprehensive and discreet bed drying service. Mane, not a winger, nothing like Pedro, not a ManU player, not going. Press, lots of rumours, no idea what 2+2=, 1% success rate Transfer window, should close before the season starts Calm down Ladies !!! |
| News Comment | Why Isn't Thursday Night Sold Out ? at 20:32:08
To say there is nothing lucrative about Europa at any stage is a questionable statement. OK you might only get 1-2m euros from the Euro-pot plus game revenue but how about the strengthening of Saints profile across Europe and the benefits that gives commercially and in attracting players with ambitions to get into the CL? Shirt sales in Denmark could go through the roof after the play-offs !!! |
| News Comment | Saints Need To Shore Up Defence at 18:17:03
I must agree with SaintBrock I do think that Maya is a bit of a favourite scapegoat for some people at present. I think he has improved enormously under Ron and sometimes his 'errors' are only apparent because no-one is thereto nullify the resultant threat. I have seen him do this for others. When the defence plays well it isn't because no-one makes a mistake its because there's cover. With no Morgan our midfield is going to have to work harder to protect our back 4. I hope that Jordy will become part of this soon. |
| News Comment | Saints V Espanyol The Preview at 10:30:56
Still an important part of pre-season as this gives match time to our 2nd XI and we need a 2nd XI this season if we get to the group stages of Europa. Hopefully a good opportunity for Gazza, Caulker Coco, McCarthy, Harry, JWP, Juanmi, JRod and maybe Shane. That leaves some spaces for some younger players to start today. I can't believe Ron will risk any key players before the 2nd leg. Hopefully this will build some competition for places in the 1st XI. Looking forward to it. |

Southampton captain Jose Fonte says leading the team in Europe can be classed as one of the "proudest moments" in his career. Will that do? |
| News Comment | Reed Says Squad Needs One More ! But There Is Room For More At The Right Price ! at 17:26:35
I think this site is becoming a target for Pompey Trolls. The more good sense you speak Nick the more nonsense you get in return. I can't believe some of these replies. Dishonest? Cash cow? Trousering cash running a Premier League Team? What a bloody Laugh. I can't believe how some people can get so angry, upset etc etc from being a Saints fan over the last few years. I have loved it, continue to love it and I have to confess that my love for Ron borders on the inappropriate. Off to Rotterdam next week, bring on the new season !!! |

I always like to get the last word and today it will be one of my favourites ... ... SAUSAGES !!!! |
| News Comment | Saints Have To Move On at 17:28:26
Well ain't that just the cherry on the cake IWOZTHERE. Im afraid you got the wrong half of the brain. If it upsets you that much then you should find something that makes you happy. Football is supposed to be entertainment or have I got that wrong? |
| News Comment | Saints Have To Move On at 21:54:28
All arguments are futile. Football is Religion. You either have faith or you don't. Those with faith will not convince those without it and vice versa. There's only one Katherina Liebherr and there's only one Ronald Koeman. I have faith. At the end of the day, all will become apparent by May 2016. In the meantime I'm smiling and intend to stay that way. Am I a Happy Clapper? No they believe in an ancient superstition and I believe in football. Off to Rotterdam soon and the journey continues. I can't wait. |
| News Comment | Manchester United Dithering Holding Up Saints Plans at 10:30:00
Agree with your first para SanM, but there is no evidence to support your second. Last season Morgan did throw a tantrum but then had his best season with us. He also understands the real world and may be professional enough to react by playing even better for us and making the teams in the Champions League take notice. We won't keep him if he's going to be disruptive and it will be Ron & his team's job to accentuate the positives, again as he did last year. Its not like Morgan has a problem playing for Saints, or Saints with him, he's just trying to achieve CL ambitions. |
| News Comment | United To Lose Schneiderlin As They Stall For Time at 14:56:43
Thanks SM the image of MoPo slithering out from under a rock has cheered up a weekend without football. Is Count Rogula going to be flying in through the window under cover of dark to deliver a fatal bite to Morgan's neck and make him one of the Liverpool undead! ... Or is Zombie Wenger stalking him to eat his brains .. or is Frankegaals monster thinking he's pretty enough to take as his Bride? OK I'll stop now. |
| News Comment | United To Lose Schneiderlin As They Stall For Time at 13:00:13
Morgan can't argue with the facts, if it ain't happening it ain't happening. He wanted to go last year and had a good season, as Rednose says, so stay and play so bloody well that there is real competition for him. More goals this season and we may not be able to hold him again. Our current status gives him very few options, he's not going to go to Swansea or Stoke is he! He needs to leave us with a bang and a fanfare and this is feeling like less than that. |
