Ravens to have their wings clipped by the Super U's
at 22:53 9 Sep 2024

You could say this year he can still get a free hit, on finding an 11 and formation. But he is with them every day the clocks ticking on that.

But last season we never really could make head nor tail of it. Take this season out of it. Last season we never had an established starting 11 or squad.

His interviews point to the fact he is changing the teams on purpose. In his interviews he comes across more worried about the other team than us. If we just got our best players in the team and others on the bench week in week out we would have a better team unity.

I personally think he is a poor coach. That’s my opinion. But his stats are not doing him any favours.

This bunch of players I genuinely do think are half decent mid table.

I was a big Garner fan. I understand at times it went south. But we did see a system an identity. This season and last season under DC and NC I see none of that for better or worse….

I think we need to wake up and smell the coffee. The Danny / Nicky fan club have got to start talking some sense now.

Are they the worst managers … NO are they producing what we hoped FAR FROM IT.

I’m 100% in agreement with you. That team is actually littered with talent. We are well underachieving. I was a massive garner fan, but I do understand at times we was on a hiding to nothing. But this just seems like we neither here nor there. They don’t seem to establish no patterns of play or starting 11. We seem to be none the wiser week in week out. We spend more of our time complimenting the other team than we do worrying about ourself. We could play 11 Sunday league players coming off hangovers and DC would come out and say we struggled as the half drunk Sunday league players posed us threats we don’t get week in week out. The smell of beer put us off. But time on the grass back at training we can fix it.

We actually have a lot better players than most teams. When you look at our squad death compare to theirs…. We just do no attack enough. Far too negative. That match day squad should be winning games comfortable. Will be a more rubbish spoke “ not the result we wanted but we got a point against a top team that’s come up “

We will stay where we are unless we change our footballing outlook

I just think we have to admit we are a win some loose some club. Yes we have some decent players but can they do it week in week out. League 2 is very very hard to find consistent performances ( if the players could they would be higher up the leagues ). No club is going to fear playing us. We have decent players and DC and NC are ok. There must be worse managers in the league than them but also a lot better….

How we finished last season I think just putting daylight between us and relegation is a big win… it was the same management duo that nearly got us related. So if they managed to stay away from that we have improved….

Only our fans have built DC / NC and our players into top 7 ( play off ) or league winners. No one else has.

Let’s not get too carried away. Long as we win some and loose some we will be fine. We do look a lot better team in general a bit more connected. It’s a long season. Long as we stay even not to high off a good result or low off a lose.

2-0 we will take that everyday of the week.

MK Dons didn’t really like they have much once it got last midfield.

Still confused as to why Bradley doesn’t get more game time. Hopper for me doesn’t really bring a lot. He is slow lacks energy and doesn’t even win that many aerial battles.

I totally agree we will have a better season… I don’t think we will go down. I also think in patches we will string results together and go on unbeaten runs where we don’t loose. I’ve said it before signing older players that they have a history with will either be a master plan or their downfall…. Before you think I’m negative, I hope it’s a master plan.

Tuesday you can’t count… the season starts Saturday !

No I don’t. I’ve always said they come across as nice guys… only problem is most fans are being led down a blind alley… they’re not going to be the shining light that saves our club. They’re ideal for this season to stabilise ( keep us out of relegation zone ) but we won’t push on after that. I don’t think we will get relegated this season…. But I also think with Danny and Nicky we have a rocket launcher when it’s more like a pea shooter.

We can’t afford to rest on our laurels. Most of the fans when they got announced including me in January never had visions of it ending how it did last game of the season ( AGAIN )

It’s irrelevant as DC wouldn’t know how to get the best out of him. I mean look at the players we had last season… they couldn’t string 2 balls together most games… We should have enough to get by and scrape through but the deluded ones saying plays off I highly doubt. How would other managers of faired if they was given the backing of DC and NC ! Let’s be honest mid table would be a really good achievement with the current coaches and players…. The season will only get harder once we start getting injured and the old boys bodies start to break up.

Wilkinson 100% has upset him. It’s personal thing. There is no way someone playing in the Scottish prem couldn’t make out bench…

Like you say it’s already a repeat of last season. That interview could have been given April this year.

Every club has these issues Injuries, bad ref decisions… we just have to use them as excuses to convince us that we know what we are doing. People that actually know what they’re doing don’t make excuses they get results.

We won’t improve much this season. As we got the same management and on paper a worse team / squad. We was making excuses but most of our sold players went to higher leagues.

I can’t see why we are improving this season when we had the same management for half a season that did nothing ( nearly got us relegated ) everyone slagged etherington… yes he was out of his depth and wasn’t good enough. But in all honesty his winning run kept us up.

DC and NC didn’t have a good half season last season ( putting it mildly ) probably with better players. It’s only one game so we can’t read to much into it. But it’s safe to say we picked up where we left off last season.

Tried getting a bet that DC and NC will be sacked by Xmas but can’t find the odds.

I don’t think we will be that attacking certainly first half of the season to play 2 up front.

Someone like Bradley will need a real run of games. If you look at most good strikers they need that Pat on the back or hand shake at beginning of the season to say you’re my number 1 and will play the majority of the minutes… it takes time and rhythm to find your stride especially when young.

Watch them play more games once their contract is up for renewal or when they are asking about leaving. When he has 1 year left on their contract they will play more time. It’s how the game works… there is no way he was picked by all them managers by merit.. we all have eyes and can see at times he was no where near up to pace. They used to shoehorn him in any position.

Had him at the academy at 9 years old… if you know your football you would know that’s 100% Profit sitting there… if you don’t think they was told to select him then you obvs wouldn’t have inside knowledge of how football works. Hence why they kept playing him. Wouldn’t have sold him for 10p if they dropped him. Just waisted money keeping him and nurturing him.

Chilvers ain’t that much of a loss. He wouldn’t have affected where we come either way.

Yes most of this season will come down to attitude and work ethic. If you look on face value we had a very good team last year… vast majority of our players have moved on up league. So we didn’t have a crap team. They just never all worked together. As long as the team knits together and works hard we will have a better season… but I disagree on more quality players arriving. It would be very hard to draw a quality player to us after last season. I’d not be against taking a punt on lower league guy that looked good.

In reality you needed DC and NC to take over end of the season. If we had scrapped by and stayed up then they had taken over, I genuinely think the out of contract players and ones on the verge of staying may of been tempted. When you think of the genuine buzz that was about from everyone in the club when they took over.. the players that have left have had half a season under them. So naturally will make their minds up on them.. players that could have been tempted to come to the build something, will say you had half a season and done nothing I’ll look elsewhere. They have had to resort to signing players that played for them 8 years ago. This seasons signing have been a major factor of how we finished last season.

Safe to say he hardly made an impact… just another waste of money and crap… we are one of the worst teams in the professional football league. These guys have a place in football at the higher levels for the extra 2%. Would be nice this season to establish a solid starting 11. With a footballing system that they and us can see a pattern of play. Plus a massive injection of work ethic….

We struggle to carry out a 2 yard pass at times..let alone try and adapt our game to diff opposition every week.

We won’t even notice he has gone.
