For those who may have forgotten and to add to Nix's point. Back in 2018/19 We drew 2-2 at Villa in this round. They were 9th on 38, we were 8th on 39. After 24 games, we had been 7th 2 points off the play off positions. We then crashed and in the remaining matches W3 D3 L14 19th 51 PTS. Our three wins were against Leeds who were top, a 4-0 at home to Swansea and a last day, last minute, wonder goal from big Matt Smith, win at Hillsborough. Villa W12 D4 L4, one of the defeats was on the last day when they had already made the playoffs. Near the end of the season, they won 10 consecutively. They went on to win the play offs, having won on penalties in the semi. We at one point lost six in a row, which was part of a run of ONE win in 17. We were safe by 11 points, (my memory thought it was closer) but the bottom three were really poor that season. Peterborough had been relegated with 54 in 2013. Anyway, I'm off to collect some bus numbers.😁 |

Numpty, in case you had forgotten, Old Trafford is in Manchester, about 200 miles North of London. I know they have a lot of London based armchair fans and are no.2 on the hate list for a lot around our manor, but, it couldn't really be considered a derby. Unless, someone in the Murdoch empire has baptised it as the M40/M42/M6/M60 derby.🤔😁 |

I'm not sure if any of these have been mentioned 1978-79 Scum 1 Rrrrs 3 Goddard, Busby and Roeder 1979-80 Scum 0 Rrrrs 2 Busby and a late clincher from Steve Burke. 1982-83 Scum 0 Rrrrs 2 Gregory and Sealey on the run in to our 2nd Division Title. 2009-10 Palace 0 Rrrrs 2 Buzsaky whacked one in early on and Gorks scored in the second half. Colin's return to Palace. They didn't know whether to cry or applaud. Another vital win to lift us away from the relegation zone. |

IF they see Eze as a potential replacement for De Bruyne, then I think they should move for him now. De Bruyne probably isn't a 90 minute player anymore, so Eze could be his substitute and could rotate with him. It would give Eze time to adapt and time to learn from De Bruyne. Their squad needs a refresh and Eze should give them a lift. It may even push them towards CL qualification. I believe he's reached a stage at Palace, where it's only going to regress and he should move on for a new and bigger challenge. |

Admittedly, I only really see highlights of Palace games. However, from what I have observed, Eze just isn't suited to their style. They constantly go long, use the wings and put in high crosses to the big guys up top. They rarely seem to pass to Ebs and mostly choose the direct option. He needs to move IMHO but I'm not sure where, as pressing and putting yards in is not his game. |

Does anyone know if the club will be streaming the Leicester match for any overseas fans? |

Maybe now that he has built a reputation as a good keeper, we can negotiate a financially better loan deal for the club or even sell him. |

Marti, in his pre match interview seemed to say they would train on Christmas day and then get on the coach to Swansea. So I don't think dragging them out of bed came into it but being at home was a big advantage for Swansea, as, at least they could spend more Christmas day with friends and family When you think of all the games over the Christmas/New Year period you can understand why some players always seem to pick up an injury. |

I hope I'm not being prepared for both JCS and Pal to be unavailable on Sunday. Could be a back four of Ashby, Dunne, Field and Fox. |

Well we were poor, marginally better second half but Swansea on the day were brilliant. Done their homework, used the width and gave our full backs a torrid time. Hardly missed a pass. Adapted well to every tactical change by us and bossed the game throughout. Be disappointed with our non performance but credit where it's due. |

I can't say that I've noticed that with Frey. I'll watch for in the next few games. I'm not sure that Kolli consistently wins them either, although I have noticed that he sometimes gets up early and has that ability to hang in the air. Denis Law was well known for that skill. |
