Got to give you respect as a polemicist Robbie - I think your post suggests we are down To say it HAS been a bad season does not begin to describe what has happened I have been of the attend games ,protest and napm school of thought - part of wants yo boycott tomorrow however it was Wigan away last season when out of frustration I said fxxx your free ticket only toiss the game of the season In saying that we were still in it lsdy season
Well written article with some merit-think we could have had a better root cause analysis of why Riga appointment went so bad.My opinion is that it went sour very early which i attribute to the actions of our chairman.Since he went i would argue things have got worse in terms of the mess we find ourselves in. Do not blame LC and he is not a collaborator(that label could more easily applied to Ollie-imo the best manger we had in 50 years) he is a fella doing a job. Robbie i think we are down-there just seems to much to do without being properly resourced. In all clubs there is this connection between the support and the club and even though that was always contentious with the Oystons it has sunk to a new level this season. That connection is broken and the latest banning s,legal actions and all out hostility will be what forms the memories of this season. I will be joining many others in not renewing my ST this spring. BFC has been an important part of my sons and my life for many years. It gave is common interest and was one of the things i liked the most about my hometown. The behavior since our days in the sun has left a bitter taste in the mouth and i just cannot forgive and forget what they have done-no doubt will keep an eye on how the tangerines are doing but this ain't my club
Very optimistic post and mathematically possible - I just don't think we have the right players and off the pitch we stink Still want us to do well as I'm wired that way but would there be any celebrations ?
The Oystons leaving would give me a bigger lift and more hopeful outlook
Good appraisal of the game - I was not their but did listen and have read reports including this one . I suppose in the final analysis we are just not good enough and I suspect it is terrible off the pitch as it is on. Really think we are relegated now barring a series of miracles On a more positive point , this cannot go on much longer and even though we may be plying our trade in league 1 next season the root cause of this mess will be gone .Only then can we start to rebuild and start to have pride in our club . UTP and Oyston out
Yet again a spectacular own goal Yes Robbie I agree it is shameful .I genuinely believe what we are witnessing is a very messy endgame , their reign is unravelling and I suspect things will get worse before they actually go. Sadly for the supporters we are relegated , divided and the football is woeful
Wizz we are in the ascendancy they are kaput - no number of legal actions or bannings will change that As for the statues and signage I know what you mean but just because they have demonstrated pettiness we should rise above it . Don't be concerned they are finished and what we are seeing is the crumbling of a decadent and arrogant regime - all we be well stick with the club
Wait a minute is this the usual post we get when a player has been bent over or the chairman is too greedy to keep the player at the club
Lewis has been a good keeper who has made the odd gaffe-not unusual in keepers(see Englands #1) and we would be in even more shi'ite without his contribution this season.
Tricky one this-as given the impact of austerity in Greece you can see why a hard line anti party has won the elections-there are some really interesting developments and anti big corporation initiatives-i think there will be some form of compromise
Whatever the outcome Greece will have to reform and start paying taxes
Yeah one game and farting about in Costa Rica for 4 months Doubt we will see him and if by chance we do he will be off at the very first opportunity Talking of priceless Robbie what do you think of the rumour about Lewis let's hope it is just that and here's one to mash your swede
What do you believe is the root cause of the shambles at our club and who do you believe is responsible ? Concise and succinct reply if possible rather than usual snide and mirrors
BHOK I think you are right about the extreme short termism - this is an exit strategy ensuring minimal expense to Oyston inc.
Sometimes difficult to grasp that we are now in a much worse position as a club than we were before our season in the sun - we enjoyed it but how many would have guessed this outcome
Scratch the whole thing stinks I am totally indifferent to Clarke His and the teams failure is a manifestation of the rotten core of the club Maybe i am not thinking straight but we are really shi'ite
