In simple terms after the 10.13 from Clapham, the trains after were replacement bus services from Winchester to Southampton, but there was no connecting service from Southampton to Totton till 1.45 am. So we went for the 10.13 that got back to Totton at 11.45, so choice was those two times. I could have got back to Southampton for 12.35 but had to wait another hour for Totton train or fork out £25 on a taxi home. |

He has just left Tranmere Rovers by mutual consent, ie they have sacked him, but they like him so let him go with dignity. Perhaps he could take over from Juric till the end of the season |

We don't need to sack him as such, put him on gardening leave until we reach the break clause in the summer. |

1. Never really liked going to Chelsea, it seems like a club with no heart in the community where the stadium is, I doubt that many Chelsea fans live near Stamford Bridge. 2. The away section has a great view from the upper tier, but the facilities are cramped and poor. 3. Fair play to the 3,000 Saints fans who turned out, great support 4. London prices are criminal, I can understand why you can charge £7 for a pint in central London, but not in the suburbs 5.Don't get me started on South Western Trains |

You are right that is true, but this is 2025 not 1965, running a football club is all about business and generating incomes, the difference between the Premier League money is not that much different about 6 million per place. What makes the difference between the big and small clubs is not the Premier League money, it is their ability to generate income in other areas, transfer fees would be one and commercial deals, sponsorship etc another. Everton putting another 12,000 on their capacity gives them another £12 million or so in gate receipts if you just take a normal seat, but it is then their ability to milk those extra 12,000 people, some in corporate and fanzones etc, plus of course merchandising, it all adds up. You are right all most fans care about is results on the pitch, but without the off the field incomes we would all be in League One & Two |

Interesting reading, although it wouldn't change much, it would have still seen us with a few more points and perhaps that might have seen us pick up a few more and have a fighting chance. Liverpool - 58pts Arsenal - 55pts Bournemouth - 47pts Nottingham Forest - 47pts Manchester City - 45pts Chelsea - 43pts Newcastle - 41pts Aston Villa - 41pts Fulham - 39pts Brighton - 38pts Brentford - 37pts Tottenham -35pts Crystal Palace - 35pts Everton - 31pts Manchester United - 31pts Wolves - 26pts West Ham - 24pts Ipswich - 19pts Leicester - 14pts Southampton - 12pts |

You are in the wrong place, but at least you get to share the pub with the likes of Kate Moss and the Chipping Norton set |

This is a positive move, Juric clearly does not have the knowledge of the Premier League nor do the staff that came with him. We can go on about Sport Republic doing things on the cheap, but the fact is that they have splashed the cash, just not very wisely at times. In 2022/23 we spent around 120 million. In 2023/24 we spent £25 million 2024/25 we spent around £115 million Thats £260 million in total. In the same period we raked in about £190 million from transfers in. So so far SR are about £70 million down in what they have spent out. Add to that what they have spent in compensation to managers (lol) then no one can accuse them of not putting their money where their mouth is, they have just spent it badly. Some of that is not their fault, two good appointments in Joe Shears and then Jason Wilcox were good and if they had both stayed then we would probably be in a lot better position now. Putting Rusk up to the first team coaching staff is clearly a move aimed at keeping the peace between the players and the manager, then hopefully Sporrs can sort things out we will have a new man in next season who will have the foundations In life we can keep moaning about the things that have now happened and we can't change or we can be positive and hope that they will get it right. On Saturday at St Mary's I saw it empty, I haven't read anything about fan protests in Marine Parade, last May thousands turned up to cheer on the team coach with flags and flares, no one can be bothered protesting. |

To give Parsons the benefit of the doubt a little, he is out of his depth in the football side of things, but he seems to have got the club on an even keel in terms of the way the non football side of things are run. The fanzones are not my cup of tea and we can all go on about taking business away from local pubs, but they are popular with the fans and they raise income for the club, we seem to be doing ok on selling hospitality and sponsorship etc. There are two sides to football clubs these days and one side not doing well doesn't mean everything is failing. Perhaps if Sporrs turns out to be good, then things can be turned round. |

I think there have been worse teams in the 50 years or so I have been watching, the 2007/08 season saw us stay up in the Championship on the last day of the season and under Michael Wilde we had an owner who made Sport Republic look good. The side that lost away to Hull 5-0 M Poke, A Ostlund, D Powell, J Viafara, W Thomas, M Licka (S Gillett, 62), J Euell, Y Safri, G Vignal, D McGoldrick (V Pericard, 46), S John (J Wright, 70) The current side would have beaten them. Or in 2008/09 the side that lost to Coventry away 4-1 K Davis, L James (S Gillett, 58), C Perry, O Lancashire, J Mills, J Cork, P Wotton (B Wright-Phillips, 58), D McGoldrick, A Lallana (T Pekhart, 59), A Surman, J Robertson A couple of promising youngsters in there like Lallana & Schneiderlin but they were just kids, so I think this seasons side would have beaten them |

The house lager in Overdraft was £5.80, they dont seem to do anything else though, just the one lager accompanied by a raft of IPA's & a few ciders, no Bitter or similar drinks. Most of the pubs the 4% cooking lager is about a £4.50 - £5 and the premium stuff £5.5 to £6. Beer will go up again when national insurance goes up in a couple of months or so |

As I said I like the beer, although it is grossly overpriced, the 4% house beer is £6 a pint and Krombacher etc £6.50 I think. It is a manufactured place though, it is a bar in Southampton set up as a German Bier keller, its a theme bar, I likened it to the Gulags as the experience there seems to be like a Munich Beer keller, rows of benches, music and encouraging people to drink, stand up and sing. The Steingarten to be fair doesn't seem to have music and want people to sing along to an oompah band, if it did I might like it better, in truth its just a room with a bit of German memorabilia and decent beer |

Ballard seems to get a reputation that is bigger than his stats, he was recalled from Blackpool in League one as he was on the bench and now at Cambridge United he is too on the bench. 22 League games played, 11 starting and 11 from the bench and only 2 goals scored, not exactly screaming that he should be in our squad at the moment |
