There were 5 subs made during the second half and 5 goals. So 30 secs each should have been 5 minutes in total. Although maybe when a double substitution is made it only counts for 30 secs not one minute. Maybe the ref was just bored and knew we had won so thought stuff it. |

Shane Long was outstanding yesterday. He will score, but that is not really a problem yet what with all the goals going in from all the others. What Shane brings is 150% commitment to the cause, excellent movement and direction. He is a real handful for defenders to deal with. Him and Sadio playing off of Pelle is beauty personified. |

I can assure you it is not me. Strange and bizarre to just pick another poster out of the hat and say 'it must be him'. I think this muppet posted on Saints Web a while back and got banned. I have never been on that place because I refuse to pay. As for Iceberg, I am not he either. |

go on, answer my question. Oh, ok, I'll answer it for you. 2001 was the last time the country ran a primary budget surplus, which (not coincidentally was the start of the credit bubble). And in the last 50 years the government has only ever spent less money than it takes in in SEVEN years. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-24339347 Under a debt-based money system (where 97% of all money in circulation is created into existence as debt) the total credit (money) has to expand. So even when the government does run a budget surplus, other areas of the economy MUST be going further into debt (absent QE) which is why governments can't run surpluses for long - if they did the credit imbalance would cause a steep recession, tax receipts would dry up and the surplus would vanish. You are one of those loudmouths who thinks you can strut around and gob off and people will take you seriously. Unfortunately, in this area you really don't know what you are on about. On that, I rest my case because I can't be bothered trying to educate you. If you feel humble enough go and look at the non-partisan think-tank Positive Money at www.positivemoney.org. You will learn a lot. I leave you with the following pdf direct from the website of the Bank of England: http://www.bankofengland.co.uk/publications/Documents/quarterlybulletin/2014/qb1 Good night. |

You are clueless. Go and learn how the money system of our country works. Paying off debt is impossible when the money you would use to pay it off is created through debt issuance. That is why even in a 'booming economy' nations since 1970s have still run primary deficits. Even the two year period during the Clinton administration in the US which technically recorded a (tiny) budget surplus was because there was an accounting change in how current federal liabilities were recorded. By the way, do you even know when the last time the UK decreased its debt? I actually do know a lot about this subject. Clearly you do not. |

How is betting on the skates winning also betting 'against my club'? And maybe I don't view them as our rivals anymore, given that they are forever in the lower divisions now due to their ownership structure. You really are a clueless fool. |

Basic home economics is not applicable for running the accounts of sovereign states which issue their own legal tender currency. The idea of 'putting some aside in the good years' is 100% correct for households and in no way relevant or possible for sovereign nations. Especially for nations whose broad money supply is created out of debt issuance. Which is basically all countries. (In the UK 97% of money in circulation was created by private banks loaning it into existence - for every pound in your bank account, someone else (or company) owes that pound, plus interest. (NB: in your account, not pocket. Folding money is the 3% which is still created through a process called seigniorage) For more see www.positivemoney.org to learn about how the money system really works. |
