| News Comment | The Daily Star Claim Van Dijk Has Completed Medical And Is Done Deal at 02:17:34
The ever reliable Daily Star it must be true its written by the Brothers Grimm. A business colleague of mine in Glasgow and an ex Celtic player although not working for the Club has said that in Glasgow this is a done deal. The equally unreliable Sky Sports news with one eye on the Sky betting market have said that a fee has not been agreed. A clue might be - is he in Southampton having a medical. |
| News Comment | Koeman Confirms That Wanyama Is Sulking at 16:07:00
I met the guy just after he signed at the away game in Norwich (the snowstorm one). We happened to be staying in the same hotel as the team while I was there on business. I said hello and welcomed him to Saints and said we were looking forward to having him play for us. At that point he could have just walked away after thanking us but he took further time to tell us he was delighted that Saints wanted him and how pleased and excited he was to join us. I am not sure what has changed but I suspect its his agent and a tap up from North London and possibly Alderweireld telling him how much money he is getting. I understand now he has refused to join up with the Kenya squad - appalling. |
| News Comment | Schneiderlin Is Only Fall Back Option For United In More Ways Than One ! at 10:09:01
I always worry about Manure as they leak information to trusted media like the Manchester Evening News who report the position not the garbage in the national media. Whether Morgan actually goes to Manure is another matter as you say with Schweinsteiger a possibility it appears unlikely he will be willing to sit on the bench. I support the SFC stance on not commenting about deals until they are done but the silence around Morgan, Clyney and Toby are worrying , particularly Toby where we must have triggered the buy clause in the loan contract and agreed terms with him. |
| News Comment | Bertrand & Cyne In England Squad ! Shaw Out ! at 05:38:49
I am not keen on taking pleasure in ex Saints not doing very well but it is clear that the Liverpool trio and 'fat boy' as Shaw is now known on the Manure fanzines have really gone backwards fast with their football careers. The counter is that they are much richer than they were. |
| News Comment | The Real Anfield Villain at 12:35:41
Brenda is not all he appears. Apart from the Liverpool programme portraying him as a family man when in fact he had left his wife, I was at the Majeski stadium on business when as Reading manager he refused to sign a little boy's autograph book and left the boy and his mother in tears after presumably telling them to go forth. It was a different story when the boy's rather large father appeared and Brenda exited very quickly. I understand that when you are having a meeting with your coaches albeit in a public place signing autographs is a chore but a little lad in his Reading kit? Brenda left Reading shortly after that. In terms of Lallana I think everyone knows what went on and trying to airbrush history now on a PR exercise will not wash. I do not begrudge Lallana leaving at all but it is the way he did it that irks and will not be forgotten. |
| News Comment | Pochettino Bad Mouths Koeman at 14:18:37
I find this a strange series of statements. Why criticise Ronald Koeman because he is higher in the table and when Spurs are close on our heels even if you accept they are being carried by their goalkeeper, Harry Kane and late Erickson goals. there is no doubt in my mind that after Cortese was ejected MoPo jumped ship because it was obvious certain player would go and he thought he/we would struggle. Now he looks a bit of a dick and untrustworthy to boot and jealous of the plaudits being given to SFC and Ronald Koeman . Good riddance |
| News Comment | Saints V Crystal Palace The Verdict at 12:32:50
Most have my comments have already been said by saintmark. There were some awful performances by Forster Gardos Cork and Tadic. The shooting on the edge of the box by Ward Prowse and Davis is Sunday League standard. |
| News Comment | Saints V Manchester United The Verdict at 01:37:29
I agree with all this but even after a day I cannot understand how we did not beat the crap in front of us. There were some hugely rubbish performances out there from some of our players as well as the shocking misses. |
| News Comment | Lovren More Error Prone Than The Entire Saints Squad Put Together !!! at 13:47:26
Hilarious. We may be well rid of him as will Liverpool after his wife's posts about Liverpool team selection from the Bernabeu. Is it true that Brenda wants to buy the entire SFC team but we have to take Lovren LieLana and SRL back in pert exchange. LOL |

| News Comment | Southampton FC Targets Sustainable Growth at 14:15:50
Excuse me - was he not at the club during the Cortese era while the areas he now criticises were at best stagnating or dwindling. I am happy where we are but commercial revenue remains poor - I dread to think how much the shirt problem has cost the club. |
| News Comment | Sadio Mane Now Confirmed at 00:41:13
This looks another good signing. I still do not understand the sale of Chambers but if the CBs equal Lovren's performances last year we have a much stronger squad. |
| News Comment | Gaston Ramirez Joins Hull City at 00:38:57
Disappointed with this I would like to have seen Gastons potential without Lallana getting first pop |
