One thing this war has shown is that Russia can be beaten on equipment and intelligence. This war has shown that Russia is not the formidable power they once were, having to rely on machines that are decades old and having to rely on ammunition sent over from North Korea to continue to fight.
Russia expected a 3 day "special military operation" and instead got a 3 year war that they were not ready for. Without the human meat waves they have been using and mercenaries from the likes of Wagner Ukraine would have already pushed Russia out by now. Unfortunately Russia is willing to sacrifice many thousands of men, when you're a small defending nation going up against a nation with a population 4 times yours then eventually you are going to run out of men.
This is what I don't understand when I hear the argument "they can't beat Russia so they might as well give up their land". What if Russia had invaded England and they had 20% under their control (the same Russia currently has in Ukraine), that would be about 10 million people. Would you want your leaders to give up and say "that's fine Russia you can have that land but promise me you won't take any more in the future please"?
My uneducated guess is that we're paying quite a decent chunk for Edwards as we were desperate at the time and needed to get the loan ahead of other clubs. For Yang I think we're getting him for free as it seems to be a favour deal.
There's countless evidence of North Korean soldiers in Ukraine. If you're scared of the "MSM" feel free to look on YouTube or any of the Telegram channels documenting it.
Biden was "weak on illegal immigration" but he actually deported more per month than Trump has done in his first month in office despite this bullshit ICE camera show.
Strange one, probably not a "fan" but good to see.
My wife was just watching a documentary on the German band The Beatsteaks (pretty big deal in Germany where they play stadiums). She shouted from the other room for me to come and then showed me that the drummer is wearing a QPR shirt.
I've driven through France lots of times and never been stopped, that's probably because I carry the things they require. I'm sure if I forgot to pack them one time then that's when I'll end up getting stopped.
My only thing to say is be careful of the toll roads, it's quite expensive driving through France.
I had been following the stadium progress updates on YouTube, it's a good looking stadium and it's good how they have kept the heritage such as restoring the listed hydraulic tower.
Not sure what it's going to be like being right next to a sewage plant though.
The people that complain about "developing other teams players" are probably the ones that say we should be sending our young players out to other teams and don't get the irony.
Like you say, it's all part of the game. It's also good for building relationships, we've had a very successful chain of loan players from Tottenham. If at the end of the season Tottenham have seen what a great job we've done with Yang they are likely to send other prospects to us, perhaps even a full season loan next year for Yang if things work out.
I doubt we're paying much, if anything for Yang. It feels like we're doing Tottenham a favour here (keep the player in London at a good level etc) rather than us desperate to fill a position so have to pay a loan fee and a large chunk of wages.
Watched the highlights, the comments on the YouTube video are full of praise for Ethan Galbraith, he made 3 assists in the game.
His 2nd and 3rd assist are very good.
And a highlights package:
His contract is up this summer but the club has an option for a further 12 months. Only 23. We seem to have a good relationship with Orient given the loans we send there. We're quite stacked in his position but maybe he's worth taking a look at.
Unless Southampton pull off a miracle and stay in the Premier League I can't see us getting Edwards. As the saying goes, never get attached to loan players.
Southampton purchased him for £3 million in the summer which is already out of our price range, plus there are apparently big sell on percentages to Peterborough and Barnet. Southampton wouldn't even consider a deal south of £5 million for him.
Koki on the other hand, I really hope the club have a clause to sign him at the end of his deal here. Like you say, that salmon leap to win the header was class. I didn't think he had it in him to win a header like that. He surprises me each week. Most players would have attempted to hit the goal he scored first time but he had the intelligence and skill to take a touch away from the keeper and blast it in.
For anyone interested, as I had no idea...Boavista have had a 2 year transfer ban which was lifted yesterday. They then signed 9 players all on a free.
Has Jimmy developed a tic of some description? Watching on the stream last night, pretty much every time the camera panned on him he made this twitchy head movement. I've never seen him do that before.
From what I can remember from the translation I had this morning on my PC, he was complaining that he couldn't believe the beer cost £7 but he did seem to enjoy the it.
