| Forum Thread | Is this season written off already? at 17:33 9 Nov 2024
Knee-jerk thread. Almost definitely... Mentally, to deal with attending more matches (ST - F Block) I've already got us as relegated. I can't muster up the hope to start believing Celar is suddenly going to go on a scoring run, Madsen making a crunching tackle or JCS playing the remaining games of the season. I obviously want to be wrong, I like Marti, and will be at all home games supporting the Rs as always but anyone else adopting this admittedly pessimistic view. I know there are plenty of points to play for, and to lose 6 in a row (which we're close to) is very QPR. Keen to read the views of other LFW and QPR folks on how to approach the rest of the season! Tin foil hat firmly on! [Post edited 9 Nov 17:40]

Well I am after that. Hate to scapegoat a player, but I’ve made more effort on the toilet than he did in that entire match. Pathetic and powderpuff |
| Forum Thread | Mood for QPR fans currently - Someone cheer me up! at 12:03 9 Oct 2024
I've tried to live in ignorance to the current downward trend at QPR, but I've just listened to the latest W12 pod, featuring LFW's very own NorthernR. As podcasts go, I really like this one and regularly listen to it - so not a dig at anyone, but I've just had it in the background at work and it's left me thoroughly gloomy re QPR. Bigger things in the world to worry about sure, but pretty much all of the points Northern and the others made I agreed with. Nourry's hands off approach with the fan base, his real lack of experience, Cifuentes only talking to official QPR media outlets, and not appearing at the Fans Forum... then add in the current recruitment and how we are playing. Someone cheer me up please. Bring back the flat roofed pubs thread. U RS! |
| Forum Thread | Is something stirring at W12 at 08:25 7 Mar 2024
Woke up this morning going through usual morning routine, but my brain keeps overplaying the game in my head. Like a really good movie, you keep thinking about it the day after. That match had everything, bar a deserved winner for us. If I cast my mind back 6 months, never would I have thought we’d 1) still be in the fight 2) and actually starting to look like we might have something going. Credit to Martí and his team, there are signs of life in W12! |
| Forum Thread | QPR/ Championship Podcast - What do people like listening to? at 11:34 2 Feb 2024
Apologies if this is an old thread and I've missed it. But what is everyone's go to pod for the Championship and then more specifically QPR. Personally, I like West London Sport for QPR but it's not regular enough and for the league Not The Top Twenty is good. But am I missing anything? Not looking for any banter laden pods full of xmas party story podcasts, Undr The Cosh boys - once is enough. [Post edited 2 Feb 11:41]

| Forum Thread | Disinterest… at 23:34 2 Jan 2024
Yes, I know we should support our team through thin and thinner, but as a long time season ticket holder, I’m getting to the point where the only way to numb the QPR related pain is to be well, disinterested. Not sure if this makes me a fair weather fan but I’m sick to death of seeing this crop of players deliver dross almost week in, week out. They’ve had so many false dawns, I’m starting to think QPR are actually based in the land of the midnight sun. As a fan base we have been pretty bloody chilled about it all. And there are a litany of other off-field issues but right now it’s the players grinding my gears. If they can phone it in regularly, then so can I! Happy New Year!! [Post edited 2 Jan 23:36]

| Forum Thread | Terrible Transfer Business at 09:37 19 Oct 2023
We don't truly know what is going on with Taylor Richards, and obviously hope he's alright. But... it's classic QPR. Strapped by the constraints of FFP but a large portion of our transfer budget is spent on a player who for reasons unknown is unlikely to feature much for us. You've got to wonder about the due diligence done on this bit of business. Anyway. Happy Thursday People! |
| Forum Thread | Underdog QPR at 09:05 4 Aug 2023
Who doesn’t love an underdog. Rocky, Seabiscuit… erm there’s more. Gareth Ainsworth wants us to be an underdog, often citing being humble, that’s all well and good but are we now really the Championship underdog? Or is he just tempering expectations already. We all love QPR but for me this attitude diminishes our status even more… death by a 1000 FFP cuts. What happens if we do go down, are we an underdog in League One also. Or maybe an overdog Or even just an average dog. (We’ll have the best training facility though) |
| Forum Thread | To Renew or Not Renew at 12:11 10 May 2023
Hi all. I've been going to Loftus Road on-off since the late 80s. As a kid my dad often worked Saturdays, so we would probably head to W12 perhaps 7/8 a season. Night games were a particular fave of mine. As I've got older, life (uni/work) took me away from London but for the past 15 years I've had a Season Ticket in SAR (F Block). I sit next to my old man and the biggest part of going to the games is spending time with him (he is the reason I'm QPR) and the people that I sit next to and see who have become friends. Clearly, I've seen some highs and lows as a ST holder. Currently, my dad is in poor health and unable to attend games, and the state of our beloved club right now, well... people far more eloquent than me have expressed their thoughts on this forum. But my two pennies - it's a f**king mess. As a result of this and my dad's ill health I'm massively on the fence about renewing. So my question is, and clearly your reasons don't need to be as emotionally loaded as mine, but is anyone else genuinely having second thoughts about renewing their season ticket? Or is it case of give it a few weeks and then I'll be foaming at the mouth for the release of opening day fixtures. U Rs! [Post edited 10 May 2023 13:14]

| Forum Thread | Who in the squad are we keeping for next year? at 10:01 17 Apr 2023
Long time lurker, irregular poster. Are we looking at a total fire sale and massive turnover of players (again...) ? Not something you would want for stability, but right now with the exception of a handful of players, I'd happily drive 85% of them to their next clubs. Not sure what the contract length is for a few of them but especially if we are in league one we need as many of our regularly crocked lot to go... can't afford to be carrying constantly injured players. |
| Forum Thread | Saltiness for QPR - Made me chuckle. at 14:59 30 Jun 2021
Long time lingerer, irregular poster. But this tickled me, shared with a Manchester United fan, apparently it was posted earlier today on their Reddit page Bitter still about the boys from the bush. I HATE QPR for reasons beyond the obvious (RANT) Guys, if you recall the last 5 minutes of the City 3-2 QPR match, QPR were leading 2-1 when Dzeko scored. Now, given that QPR didn't know that they were safe from relegation, you would expect them to at worst, hold on for 2-2 esp when they had the possession at the restart post-Dzeko goal. But, I pains my heart to recall how they just kicked the ball towards Joe Hart and then fell back to defend against another wave of City attack. I mean the ball is in your possession with no one in your half, just pass the ball around for a few valuable seconds and try to hit City on the counter coz the Blues HAD TO press and score. QPR's restart went like CMF->CF->Joe Hart straight from the kick off. I know it's painful, but just rewatch the last few minutes. You'll know what I'm talking about. Of course I hate QPR for losing that match, but to play anti-football or to say the least, to be submissive was disgusting. I pray QPR get relegated to Non-League, enter into administration and die an unnatural death. |
