This whole 'no arrests' thing is a joke.
It isn't going to change the ridiculous policing, if anything it's justification for the police to carry on using the system.
Every single swans fan went home safely last night, none in the cells etc and what will we have to show for it when we meet again? Exactly the same level of policing. |  |

where I was stood (right next to the police line) there were some ridiculous scenes and things being said and shouted over the divide and the police just carried on as if they couldn't hear a thing. I'd imagine unless someone make a dash for the opposition fans police are told to just be vigilant and shouting is tolerated no matter how vile it is. there were some vile individuals on both sides, the horse riding gesture was most obviously in evidence from a number of individuals in the home and the chant about pedophilia isn't really becoming for the family club of the year.
I'd imagine if it were any other game there would have been dozens of arrests for public order offences but on this occasion the police don't want to lose manpower dealing with people and weakening the divide.
the only plus was there wasn't a great deal of coin throwing. do the stewards down the liberty wear protective goggles between both sets of fans?
As it goes I think the derby is always overhyped clearly it doesn't mean as much anymore as our players couldn't even be bothered to turn up for this one and it being cardiff dragons cup final and all. |  | | |
