Lets face facts there has been no mention of tonights fans forum on here, normally this would create a 5 pager on the original planets swans.
Darran can go on all day about how many hits etc this web site has had, this fans network aint working from a fans perspective no matter how he dresses it up!
There a lots of fans who have either stopped posting on here on migrated to other Swans related websites.
We are premier league we should be buzzing with posts on here, but some threads on the front page are 2/3 days old.
Full respect to Phil S for try to change, but this change hasn't worked, thats the reality!

I got the impression re ticketing system that the club do not pay for the system but the company running the system take the £1.50 for supplying the service to the club. The club make money on the ticket price itself.
One good point that HJ mentioned that people may not consider is that for every ticket sold the 20% vat element has to be taken out to give to the vat man. |
I'm not sure why VAT is an issue. It's a percentage. 20% always goes to VAT. If the tickets are cheaper, we pay less VAT on each one sold. Plus, by making the tickets cheaper we could still end up making the same by selling more seats.
12,500 tickets @ £20 would be exactly the same income (and VAT) as 20,000 tickets @ £12.50. I know which I'd prefer. So the VAT excuse seems like bulls**t to me! | | | |

Think it was more given the VAT and the 20% that went to the stadium (don't know if the latter has been mentioned) the amount left to go to the club per ticket was quite low without reducing further.
Know the arguments still exist that if you reduce ticket price and increase sales by a corresponding amount (e.g. 1/2 price and 2x as many sales) then there is not a problem but I suppose that is a bit of a gamble on increasing sales when they probably anticipate a certain number of sales regardless of price reduction. |  | | |
