2-1 York

Brilliant! Cheered me up completely from the pathetic feeling I've had since Chelscum won!
Well done York, done the Football League a favour keeping them pikeys out of it

Seeing the pikeys weep will never grow old for me. As much as I hate Chelsea, there will always be a special place in my gall bladder and bile duct reserved for Luton B@st@rd Town and their pikey fans.

To think Luton got promoted to the old first division a year before us in 1981-82 and beat Arsenal in the League Cup Final in 1988.

Thoroughly inspiring news, still a little annoyed how we let them tear us a new one in that MEANINGLESS friendly.

Got a mate who is a York fan, his whole family came down when we played them in the cup many years back, spent the evening in the conningham with them after, top people! well pleased for them.

I wonder if that donut from the EDL was there, crying into his pint.

Delighted for York - a cup draw there in the next year or two would be good (convenient) - they have also just got permission for a new stadium.

Hate Luton, but....

the 30 points was wrong

I must admit my stance on Luton softened with that 30 points deduction. Bang out of order.

The thing is, however far they have fallen now, we used to have a rivalry with them in the 80s. I can remember us taking a lot of fans to Luton.

Living in Bedfordshire I know a few Luton fans and although there is a rival thing between us and them the whole 30 point deduction was so wrong and it could quite easily been us in that position.

So I do have some sympathy for them. God I never thought I would said that a few years ago

Luton were 4th in the Conference by 17 points and lucky to beat Wrexham in the semis.

You could argue the 30 points was a harsh penalty but they were dodgy as feck, handing out cash to agents in lieu of signing on fees, sticking bungs all over, and generally running the club as as if it was the 70s again.

Never had a good experience in Luton, let 'em rot.

Couldn't have happened to a more deserving side. Harsh, yes, but they asked for it for all their carrying on at the time.

Hate them with a passion. Horrible side, horrible ramshackle stadium, horrible town, possibly the grimmest place in England even though I have relatives from there. Can't honestly think of anything nice to say about that place or its team. Haven't been there for years, but I doubt much has changed.

Nice one York.

There aint half been some clever bastards.

their ground puts them where they deserve to be....and it hadn't improved from the 80s!
