Kolli signs new deal! on 14:09 - Jan 17 with 1710 views | 1BobbyHazell | Brilliant news, love the kid. Building up a few youngsters with good technical ability who alongside Illias will hopefully allow Marti to continue developing the team's use of the ball.

Kolli signs new deal! on 12:59 - Jan 17 by QPRSam | Kolli has the quality to play a number of different positions for us - I don't think he's restricted to just being a striker. Even still, with a typically packed schedule and being the complete opposite of Frey playstyle wise, he'll get plenty of minutes with rotation and allows Marti to change our style of play as he wishes. I think long term he'd settle better into a winger position, getting more on the ball and able to drive at defenders. The Spurs friendly showed the potential in that. |
I'd have said that at the start of the season but he has been an absolute revelation as a 9. He can finish, he can pass, he can head, he's got fantastic movement. He's got a bit of pace but not enough I would say for a wide player. He is IMHO exactly what you want as a forward with a different set of skills to Frey. Lloyd gives you out and out pace, but I dont think he has the balance and I never feel he has the ball quite under control and I do think if we could get him on loan somewhere it would be beneficial. I dont see where Celar fits other than as an understudy to Kolli with Lloyd as the understudy to Frey.

Kolli signs new deal! on 13:30 - Jan 17 by Pdog | Great news. As mentioned above the best youth prospect we've had in years. I am somewhat intrigued however that the 9 years from age 8, to signing pro at 17, he was never poached like many others before him. Was it a case of late development that kept him under the radar, or just a deep love for the R's that made him stay? Im sure one of our acadamy fotball gurus could shed some light. |
I would suggest that he was signing 2 year contracts with QPR from the age of 11, maybe earlier.

Kolli signs new deal! on 12:53 - Jan 17 by aston_hoop | Lloyd is the one who needs a loan more I think, he's short of the level at the moment although I know he's a great sub option for now. But for me, Kolli and Frey are the two first choice strikers who we can rotate or even use together if needed. Celar will have to work hard to get minutes when he is fit again |
A loan next year maybe, but currently we only have three for strikers!

Kolli signs new deal! on 14:05 - Jan 17 by QPRSam | From a letter Rayan's father wrote to Chris Ramsey, today I learned : Rayan, at the age of 16, had the opportunity to join West Ham, a tempting prospect for any young footballer. The offers were enticing, and many believed that this was the path he should take. But you, Chris, saw something more profound. You saw the promise, the potential, and the value that Rayan held for QPR's future. You made a tough call, one that required tremendous courage. You turned down significant offers, you challenged us in a six-month-long battle, and you decided to take the matter to tribunal to prevent Rayan from leaving QPR. It was a decision that wasn't understood by many at the time, but you had a plan, a vision for his growth, and an unshakable belief in the club's future. On December 2021, that final meeting with West Ham defined the path we would take. They wanted Rayan desperately, but you, Chris, had decided to stand firm. You were willing to go to tribunal to protect QPR's interests, and I couldn't help but wonder why. Why would you do this? The answer, we discovered, lay in the future. |
So Rayan wanted away from QPR at 16? His Dad (or agent) thought it was a good move and didn't understand when Chris Ramsey blocked it? Presumably only understood when Gareth put him in the first team last year? To quote Nourry, I think I'm acutely aware of what some of the issues have been now

I think any of the inner details would be pure speculation. What we know for sure, in Rayan's interview posted today, he shows his passion and love for the club. He's been here for 11 years and as he says since he was a ball boy in the loft end, it was his dream to be the one scoring them goals

Kolli signs new deal! on 13:45 - Jan 17 by terryb | Really? You want Lloyd & Kolli to go out on loan & leave us just with Frey? Or is Dillon going straight into the squad? |
Obviously not. | |

Kolli signs new deal! on 15:00 - Jan 17 with 1366 views | Benny_the_Ball | Excellent news. For those suggesting that Kolli and Lloyd go out on loan, consider that as we speak Celar is injured and Frey is our only available recognised senior striker.

Hence why I said Kolli is 2nd choice striker at the moment. Even if Celar and Frey were fit, you would likely have one of those two at the club.

Kolli signs new deal! on 13:20 - Jan 17 by PlanetHonneywood | Funny this comes hours after Haaland's contract extension announced. I'm reliably informed that a swap of Haaland plus cash for Kolli was on, but fell through when Kolli voiced a preference to stay at QPR. Hopefully now he can really push on. |
Yeah, be good to see Haaland push on.

Kolli signs new deal! on 12:50 - Jan 17 by Gloucs_R | I think he needs lots of game time and would progress quicker with it. But as it stands, second choice striker for us. |
I’d like to see him loaned if we could pretty much guaranteed game time. If Frey stays fit I can’t see him playing much and still not convinced he is yet at the level we need.

I do think he needs regular game time if he's going to continue to develop, but I think you nailed it when you mentioned guaranteed game time at the loan club. Plus injuries here will probably mean that he stays for a few weeks anyway. When does the loan window close? Feb or March? [Post edited 17 Jan 15:29]

After first saying that Kolli needs to go out on a 6 months loan. I'm glad you came to your senses. However, there are others who haven't taken into consideration just how short we currently are on strikers. If the club were to sign some this month (a big if), I'd understand the loan argument. As things stand, not for me. They're progressing well, enjoying a breakthrough season, and bringing the fans some long overdue joy. Let's enjoy that and take another view when the time is right.

So you think it's a good idea to go into the second half of this season with just one recognised striker (one who, by the way, has had 2 or 3 spells injured since arriving)? Unless QPR bring in reinforcements that would be very poor planning. [Post edited 17 Jan 18:04]

Kolli signs new deal! on 16:16 - Jan 17 with 921 views | Wilkinswatercarrier | Reckon he needs a summer off season that Willock had after his first year. Came back bulked up and could physically hold his own. I can't wait to see a forward line of Chair and Dembele wide, Kolli at 10 with Celar up top. Lots of pace and movement. Varane and Morgan in the CM roles. Quite exciting!
