Same futile cliches - working harder, understanding the basics etc., then nothing changes on the pitch. Either he/the club think we're stupid or are embracing the defintion of insanity about doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results (or both).

Mind you, with this inept, powder-puff, and crying-off squad, what are his options? The players (those who are semi-fit) don't look up to it, and the manager demoralised and out of ideas.

I wish I could grow super-long arms and embrace the 1,300 hardly souls in advance.

Poll: What should the club do now (assuming no imminent change of owners)?

Out of interest what do you expect him to actually say in these interviews?

He's not going to say what he's really thinking is he and it seems pretty obvious to me why he's been kept away from fan interviews and the fans forum .

He's been fuming since the summer and who can blame him

TBF we had this thread every week when Warburton had us in the play-off places as well.

I genuinely don't know why people get so angsty about them to be quite honest.

But then actually I never watch them because there's never anything interesting to learn so I don't bother wasting my time.

Unfortunately I think I'm in a minority in this current age where everyone is thirsty for constant content.

It's rather pathetic that one of you uses a perfectly legitimate, measured, fan-based repsonse to a regular item on the club website to bash me over the head for my supposed past sins of, uh, expressing opinions on a fans' message board. Also hilarious that I'm the one accused of being predictable when I could have predicted in my sleep someone would bleat 'what do you expect him to say?' for the millionth time rather than engaging with my content (and expression of brotherhood toward those going to Leeds).

If that's the best you've got, both of you, why not take up knitting instead?

If any poster without resentment issues and an intelligent tongue in their head has something interesting to say about how these interviews might, just might, be part of the problem and my concerns about how our manager is presenting/feeling/training the team, perhaps they could do us all a favour and add some thoughtful balance.

Well the embrace for the 1,300 who are actually going to the game didn't last long did it?

I'll just say what I always say, and apologies in advance for my lack of intellect or originality.

1 - No manager is ever going to say anything remotely controversial or interesting in an interview on the official club channel, and if they did the club wouldn't put it out. (Cifuentes is saying PLENTY in his other press conferences for people as intelligent as yourself who are willing to read between the lines).

2 - You won't like the next manager's team selections, substitutions or interviews any more than you do this one's. Or the last one's. Or the one before that.

I wouldn’t try to make sense of it. There was a thread on Tuesday after one of the most horrific home performances of my Middle Aged life about how annoying it is that season tickets get included with the announced attendance. Like having a peak in Jeffrey Dahmer’s fridge and whinging there’s no milk.

At least we know what happened to Oli’s tombola.

Thanks for preserving the supercilious standard of sanity, balance and rationality on behalf of us irrationalist misfits who can't possibly aspire to become the adults in the room.

Maybe just go away and wash your hair, or something?

What do you expect him to say?

“Yeah I’ve been given a squad of utter cnts, we are down to the bare bones of those cnts now and I’m going to get sacked after this weekend if we get battered”…

And if he did front it out like that you’d be on here wailing about him being defeatist

Take up knitting ?

I'm going to Leeds tomorrow ! maybe you should actually bother going to a game rather talking absolute nonsense on here !

All of these type of interviews are the same regardless of who the manager is and with your super duper intellect I thought you would have realised that by now 🙄

Oh we're playing on the shampoo thing early doors this time. Shall we just skip to the part where you tell me how many people message you telling you how much they love your 'content'? Then something to do with knitting probably. Suggest that I don't read as much as you do so I must be thick? Then excusing all the irrelevant bollocks by shouting the word O P I N I O N S and telling us all this place would be inane without all of yours?

There you go I've done it all for you. You're welcome.

I honestly believe you could be in a room on your own and yet still be insulting and cause an argument.

And if they were handing our medals for projection, scapegoating and virtue-signalling, you'd be with the usual suspects at the front of the queue, I suspect.

I posted an opinion about our manager's interview, and then a couple of dickheads piled in on me, so try to deal with reality if you want to be a writer. A few scales may fall from your eyes, you never know.

Shall I add the words 'smug' and 'fantasist' to that little lot just to round it off? But glad to know you spend so much mental time stressing about me and creating a for your own reasons. If you don't fancy the knitting, perhaps you could try caricature sketches?

Wouldn't surprise me if Marti walks away from it. What's in it for him ? He's been sold up the river, has no cards to play with and is being marched out in the firing line for his 'crimes'. Not sure what he has done to deserve it if I'm being honest.

a lot of financial reasons for him to be sacked rather than resign but also I imagine he feels he can keep us up which given the circumstances would only enhance his reputation
