Oohh, looking forward to this, it mitigates my disappointment that one the games RM’s pin up was going to miss was the Everton Cup tie. If he’s up on one of the FA’s juicy ‘E’ charges (the ones with the heaviest sanctions are E1, E2, E3 ect…) this means a hefty fine (pointless given the money he earns a year) but the good bit is his ban could be extended by an additional one, two, three or four games on top of the three game ban for the red card. Good news for us though as RM’s hand will be forced for longer. He will be inconsolable, so much so I wouldn’t be surprised if his next press conference is conducted with the old Simon Bates ‘Our Tune’ theme music playing in the background. Yes we did, we ended up relegated on 26 points.
Bournemouth were expected to be relegated along with us.
They were bottom three and Stephens didn't feature.
