Richard’s awol ? on 11:44 - Jan 31 by Rangersw12 | Not a lot but I certainly haven't stood there like a mug at games and clapped these set of players off the pitch when they've played poorly that's for sure. I've asked questions of the club via email and put in questions at fans forums asking for some answers on things etc As a fanbase all we can do is show displeasure when they treat us with contempt and maybe if a few more people did that then maybe they would realise their performances won't be tolerated I await with bated breath your witty response 🙄 [Post edited 31 Jan 11:45]

agree. the amount of posts on here slagging off other fans for the heinous crime of clapping a bit at the end of a game is particularly dispiriting.

Richard’s awol ? on 10:59 - Jan 31 by Rangersw12 | It's pretty obvious he's referring to Richards though . Not saying it will fix the issues but I'm sick and tired of this club and the constant bollocks surrounding it yet as a fan base we do nothing . The players get away with piss poor performances week after week and get clapped off when they treat us with contempt. The club aswell as the fans have no standards nowadays. Careful, you're starting to sound a bit Joey Barton, coming out with views like that. Bullying is never acceptable. And in 2024 contrasting our financial input with Taylor Richards' footballing 'output' is undoubtedly bullying. Don't question the process. It's not your place. Just pay your money, shut up all game, clap at the end, and quietly fck off home. That's all the players ask of you. No more, no less, thank you.

Well, just stop paying him. If an employee goes AWOL then the employer is not obliged to pay them.

He’s not been here this season. But getting rid of him is another matter as we’ll need to find a club stupid enough to take him off our hands.

Not that easy… Gordon Taylor and the PFA have made players virtually untouchable.
Richard’s awol ? on 20:04 - Jan 31 with 2671 views | HammersmithR | I sure don’t know the ins and outs of employment law but I’m sure QPR are looking at all options. This whole saga cannot continue. I’m sure the club have a log of all the alleged breaches of his contract. QPR will have a duty of care to the player and will have to be seen helping him. But there will come a point where all avenues are exhausted and his contact can be mutually terminated. I cannot for the life of me understand how the club did not do their due diligence on the player before signing him. Must be costing us thousands with his transfer fee and salary.

Like most highly paid individuals the easiest option is to offer them a settlement. I would not imagine this is an option given the current P&L situation. Probably cheaper to just keep paying him. PFA would most likely jump in and represent him for free, club would have to pay lawyers.

I think you're pretty safe from reproach, Fella, given: (a.) The huge amount of love and respect that there is for you from many of us on this forum, and (b.) that you're generally pretty fastidious about calling yourself out before anyone else does!

With you 100% on the first para. In relation to your second para, I guess it all comes down to how "due diligence" was interepreted at the time, plus, as Clive has alluded to elsewhere, there's always a sense of ego in being to be seen to be the one who managed to tame the wayward child, and turn the frog into a prince..
